IMHO - The Reason for a lot of the Cole Hate

I think the whole issue goes back to the beginning of the year. Dabo and Morris thought Cole was the better QB for games 1 and 2 - our only losses. Many felt that Cole was given the job because of his loyalty to the program vs. his talent. I think many developed...what would you call it?...an unjustifiable distaste which led to continued unrealistic expectations for Cole.

In my honest opinion - if DW starts play 1 at UGA and Cole is later called into duty upon DW's injury and CS then troopers thru and gives us 4 straight wins - perception is completely different across the board.

1 and 3.. winning game 2 only seemed to increase

That was the point I was trying to make it.

Even if we best uga.. with only Stoudt. . Once people saw Watson throw a bunch of tds against sc state I think the arguing would have been just as bad.

The whole problem with the uga game was cole was struggling

had went 3 and out twice then threw a pick on the next drive so they put deshaun in and in 2 passed we have 6 then they pull him and put stoudt back in. IMO that was one if the dumbest things ive ever seen us do. It's liked they punished him for showing cole up that game. That's my only problem I had with that situation, we played me nice guy and it bit us in the #### big time. I'm not bashing cole stoudt before someone comes in here on their high horse with a batman tshirt on. I'm very happy with the way cole stoudt has persevered and did enough to win these tough games despite being much more banged up than most realized. I'm especially proud of the performance last night and i thought I'd never say it but I think we still beat the coots if cole had to play but of course I want deshaun to play because I think he's probably the best or going to end up the best qb we've ever had. I'm glad cole stoudt got to go out on a positive note after losing to georgia then getting the start at fsu and losing that game then he got his job taken on national tv his season would have ended on an awful note and it has obviously been really difficult mentally for him especially after the georgia game he never looked the same but he got his confidence back tonight for the first time got in a rhythm and beat wake the refs and all the 2 huge mistakes we had.

I think it's hair envy. Plus unrealistic expectations by a group of fans that believe Clemson is a top 2 team every year. If the results don't match their expectations they blame anyone and everyone.

Clemson fans don't "hate Cole"

Clemson fans are critical of his play...which is understandable

Hates a strong word...If anyone hates him, they aren't a Clemson fan
