A simple poll for challenging Walz's military service

tabbyplague® already crushed those who would question Walz's service (thank you for the integrity and the unbiased post), but, clowns like Keowee and McMurphy persist.
So here's a simple poll. Tell us which category you fall in and how you feel.
A. You are a veteran who was required to serve in Iraq and/or Afghanistan.
First, thank you for your service. What is your opinion of Walz and his eligible retirement before being deployed to Iraq? Please tell us your branch of service and years served.
B. You are a veteran who retired or left the service before Iraq and/or Afghanistan and you were not required to serve.
Again, thank you for your service. What is your opinion Walz and his eligible retirement before being deployed to Iraq? Please tell us your branch of service and years served.
C. You never served. (I'm in this category) What is your opinion Walz and his eligible retirement before being deployed to Iraq?
Since I'm C, I'll answer my own question. I see no issue with a man who has done his full service retiring before deployment for his family, especially for a pointless war that cost needless American lives.
For the chickenhawks here, failure to respond will be seen as an admission that Walz did nothing wrong.
Tabby, you don't have to respond. You already bossed this.

You have TDS and want anyone but Trump to win.
You don’t know Walz, you don’t know the people who support him, you don’t know those who say he quit and ran.
What’s the purpose of your post?

and a liar at worst. He comes from the Joe Biden “say whatever you want based on the audience to garner support and apathy”; but also comes from a generation that think no one has the internet.
Next he’ll be a truck driver, marching with the king, and have a relative eaten by cannibals.

C. From my seat at the bar, the guy seems like a total narcissist. Totally self-absorbed. It’s all about me, me, me.
What kind of spoiled brat only serves his country for 24 years? Why did he wait an entire week after 9/11 to re-enlist? Seems like he should have re-enlisted on 9/12, or if he was really hardcore, 9/10 to really get a jump on things.

eligible. It takes a special kind of d o u c h e to attack someone's service for political purposes, though Walz does seem to have some Daniel Rodriguez in him and has exaggerated his service some.

Completely agree though I'm in group C. Walz has already revealed himself to be a politician, and politicians tend to have the showy, attention-hound thirstiness you also see out of actors and social media influencers. The need for attention and approval is a bit of a yellow flag, granted, but unless taken to such extremes a person will tell whoever they're trying to impress whatever they think they want to hear - you know, like (cough, cough) Donald Trump = Walz's thirstiness is not necessarily a disqualifying one. And without it, it's hard to imagine somebody going into politics to begin with.
Doesn't change the fact that the man served 20 years, then re-enlisted for another four, and he did it as a line grunt, not an officer. Considering that's 24 years more than I ever served, far be it for me to criticize the man.

D. You don't have an opinion on his service whether you personally served in the military or not.
What do you think about his lies regarding his military service?

But it's a cheap attack tactic when attacking his policies are a far better practice.
Also, I wonder why we don't get the same fervor out of certain people here when it comes to Trump's lies?

I fall into group A. USAF 87-07. Walz did two things that I have issue with. Embellishing his service with comments about "weapons of war I carried in war" when he never approached a combat zone. Political theater in which he now says he misspoke which to anyone of us would mean we lied.
He bailed on his unit when they were selected to be deployed. Don't come at me with the official orders coming down and his retirement timeline. All units have a general idea/timeframe in which they are eligible for deployment and a pecking order is listed. You can come within a month or so of knowing when you will deploy. Him being in the role of Command Sgt Major makes his Retirment timeframe worse in my opinion. With that said the guard saw a decent number of people bail prior to being deployed for Gulf War 1. They were okay with the pay and benefits until they had to perform the function for which they signed up so he is not alone in what he did.
