I think he has played a huge part in accelerating the growing divide across the well documented differences in parties, demographics and culture. One example…
2016 election certification:

2020 election certification:
Interrupted by protesters, and 146 republican objections.
Although I disagreed with the 2016 objections, you can’t say they are comparable.
Today, 60% of pubs don’t even think Biden won. These are the same people that had “get over it snowflake hilary lost” bumper stickers.
I think with so many 24/7 new stations, internet, podcasts, changing demographics more division was inevitable but the need to incessantly grovel over Trumps lies have played a huge part in our division.
