Exactly, he has to have a pay check coming from somewhere, and after getting fire, he has to take the first real offer that comes until he can do better. I think he would have had to swallow some pride by going back there, but a man with a family has got to do whatever he has to when he has a family to feed, and that's what a real will do!!!

I could be wrong, but I don't think that it works like if they go right back to work, I think he will only get a percentage of what Clemson owes him. Again I could be wrong about that, but that is what heard a few years ago about fired coaches going right back to work with another team....

If it was in same capacity. He isn't a head coach so this would not apply in this case. Also depends if Monte took a lump sum buyout or has Clemson paying his salary based on terms of contract time.

Ironically, those players were not happy with Coach Lee. They were transferring if he was fired or remained at Clemson. They didn’t like how they were not getting playing time under Lee. Kingston will be fired next season and Lee will be the next coot head coach. It’s poetic baseball justice…

coach in pretty much the history of all of their sports that actually moved up and on was Ray Tanner, to their AD position, whereupon they've largely cratered across the board in most sports since.
Maybe Dawn Staley will be next in line.
They are the gift that keeps on giving.

Neff actually worse hire ever. 2nd worse was AD hired that ended up firing Danny Ford. Don't remember his name but I think he was from Furman. Neff mentioned last year that would fire Dabo is he doesn't start winning again. Neff's got Rooster Blood in his veins.
