Conn not surprised with Nkemdiche's decision
Robert Nkemdiche's high school head coach says that Clemson's family atmosphere was too much for the nation's highest-rated player to pass up. Mickey Conn said Clemson will use Nkemdiche as a defensive end and short-yardage running back. Full Story » |

From his highlight film, it sure looks like he could be used in situations like that. Kinda a William Perry type deal.

Does this line seem a little like a "if you go to the Big 12 you might lose him" to anyone else. A very interesting line to me.

With Dabo having to reassure Gallman earlier

I don't think it's grasping. Gallman came out and said he didn't want to play in the Big 12.

The kid will go to Clemson unless: - He decides to join the Peace Corp - The Mayan calendar does come to an end this year - An asteroid smashed into Death Valley - Clemson drops the football program, but adds beach volley ball.
OK, that might be a little extreme. We still might have a shot at this kid if we add beach volleyball.

I dunno... I'd go there again for some beach volleyball! It has to be one of my favorite spectator sports.

It's like the scene in "The Blind Side" when the substitute comes in for the loud mouth kid that has gotten beat down in the first game (or scrimmage or whatever it was).

This is unbelievable. I didn't think we had a chance even when we picked up Gallman. Then when we got Kamara I was like "Hmmmm, this could be interesting." Now I'm just stunned. Unbelievable. Good job coaches.

Dabo and company are a great recruiting team, and Clemson sells itself. Now we have coordinators who can get it done and a staff in place that can get to that next level. I believe our future is bright, and the next several years will be very special.

We have different coaches now. We finally got off the money and invested in a good staff. The last part of the puzzle went into place with the hiring of BV as DC. JMHO, but I see Clemson as a program with a very bright future.

Different time now. Better Coordinators, better position coaches, and much more depth at most positions. Still questions on the OL and maybe DL, but there is no way our OL will be any worse than it has been for about 12-15 years, and we have a good set of DL who have great potential. Have faith, my man. The future looks very bright.
