Captain D's - Blackened Tilapia Review

The fish - not as thicc as the cod/whitefish that's normally available, but the overall volume of the piece of meat is roughly the same.
The cajun seasoning makes it edible. I add hot sauce to mine and that makes it pretty good.
Fried okra is identical to fried okra you can get anywhere else. Same with green beans.
Breadstick is too sweet and is more like a cake.
Rice is bland.
5/10 - not bad for a weekday lunch but a little overpriced at $9.83.

If you dip the breadstick in the hotsauce, it balances out the sweetness. It's like having a poundcake with Texas Pete as the icing. Not bad.

I can enjoy lunch at Captain D's or KFC, and then go and enjoy dinner at Hendrix or Black Rooster.
I don't have discerning tastes, but I do have many.

I'd probably put Captain D's in a tie with CFA if we're talking chicken nuggets.
I'd pick Captain D's 10 out of 10 times if I was forced to eat CFA's chicken sandwich.
I'm talking purely about the taste and quality of the food. I don't really care if people kiss my butt at the drive through or not. Doesn't help me or factor into my customer experience hardly at all.

whereby you can call them on the telephone and tell them what you want to eat, then just go pick it up.
I'd do that all of the times before I ate rice and tilapia from captain d's.
