You serious? Trump spouted nothing but nonsense and lies. He always spouts nonsense and lies. If all you want to do is fluster him and make him #### himself on national TV, you just call him on the lies. He's very easy to manipulate if you try.

Nobody knew how to debate a clown/man-child in 2016. When Biden was healthy, Trump lost the debates handily. He won’t be able to hold it together in a competitive debate. No breaks to run off stage and snort Adderall or meth like he’s accused of doing on the apprentice.

A guy who worked for him for many years. Tells the tales of Trump snorting speed and ######## himself repeatedly. Oddly, Trump never even threatens to sue him. Google it.

The he in that statement is Donald Trump. It's a clip from 2019 talking about his Facebook posts.

Facebook and Twitter are non-government. Freedom of speech only applied to the federal government, then to the states after it was incorporated against them (all from memory. don’t remember how much of the bill of rights remains to be incorporated against the states).

7th amendment is the law is the only one I know that doesn’t apply to the states. Freedom of the press can be restrained prior only for restricted data (like at least one of the documents Trump stole and hoarded).

She's not talking about Musk or taking down Twitter. She was talking about Donald Trump getting barred from those sites.
Why do you have to lie? Why can't y'all just tell the truth on those things?
This is a great case study in how these lies spread. Look at everyone in this thread who fell for it, even me. I guess honesty is too hard.

Well to be fair Robert Reich is out there calling for Musks arrest so it's not like it's some far fetched idea among the left.

I don't see why Trumpkins have to repeatedly lie to try to scare the public into believing something. Intentionally editing videos to spread lies makes someone a despicable individual.
Just tell the truth. Neither Harris nor the federal government is going to arrest Musk.

The truth is that left wing govts around the globe are imprisoning people for their social media posts so it isn't a leap at all to think they will at some point go after whoever is allowing all those thought code violations in the first place. Now you may honestly think that could never happen here and hopefully you're correct but I see no proof that Kamala (or anyone on the modern left really) is some kind of free speech absolutist. Another truth is that If the DOJ announced criminal charges against Musk tomorrow because of the content on X you'd hear zero pushback from anyone on the left.

Authoritarian governments that don't have the freedoms or rights of America are imprisoning people, and it doesn't matter if they're left or right. Please don't pretend right wing extremists in third world countries are free speech champions.
We have enough safety nets to ensure Musk isn't arrested, nor should he be. But if he keeps on the disinformation path, he'll eventually check the same libel/defamation box that Alex Jones did and that will cost him a pretty penny.

favored Democratic economist that served in the Clinton Administration.
Check out items 3, 4, and 5 in the below article. It boils down to threaten to arrest/jail Musk where possible, use Government funded lawfare, and terminate Government contracts with businesses having nothing to do with X. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/aug/30/elon-musk-wealth-power
The Democratic Party are a lot of things - but defenders of "democracy" ain't among them. Their leftist totalitarian desires bubbled up during COVID and now they have an unquenchable thirst to gain more Government control over everything. The just love hiding their totalitarian tyranny under the ruse of "public safety" and "misinformation".
Their message - fall in line with their desired narratives or suffer the consequences. They will determine what is "truth" and "misinformation" and if you don't carry that water - they'll use lawfare against you, seek the destruction of your businesses, or even jail you. They are getting awfully close to Lavrentiy Beria style "show me the man; I'll find you the crime" kind of justice - all in the name of "protecting" us.
All this desire to censor, cancel or even prosecute the opposition to them shows how little Democrats think of most Americans. They simply view us as stupid plebeians to be controlled and lorded over by their Ivy League credentialed class of elitist know it all's. After all - we are too stupid to understand the world around us and must be spoon fed their narrative to keep us compliant and accommodating of their desired tyranny.

Sir, you have to remove candidates from ballots and be heavy handed with social media companies to, you know, save democracy.

That's an easily disprovable lie, and he doesn't care even a little bit about spreading disinformation. 83 dead kids and toddlers in Samoa can attest to that.
RP probably just fell for it without checking or confirming anything.

RFK's comments at the beginning of the post.
My apologies.
Now let's think for a moment about Trump being deplatformed in places like facebook and twitter.
And since we know that almost all politicians lie, that's not a legitimate reason to deplatform, the president of the united states.

Yeah, it was so consistent that it took until Feb 2024, for M E T A to ban Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran.
Last I checked, Iran is one of if not the most active states involved in fomenting terrorism to harm and kill people including his own.

I wasn’t aware of that. Did he also send a mob of idiots to try to stop the certification of the electoral vote? Or conspire to remove Mike Pence from the capital so it couldn’t be certified, and thereby giving himself an excuse to declare martial law and stay in power?
I know most Trump voters are trash, but how many of them understand just the level of piece of #### they support.
