If you're coming to the game / travel advisory

Keep in mind that the restaurants and gas stations around Exit 19 have no power. Pendleton has no power so Bojangles and QT and Burger King and Zaxbys and all those restaurants are closed. You would be best served to bring your food, gas, and have it before you get here. I know I likely won't have power for weeks.

Travelled from KY yesterday -nightmare

There is, quite literally, no way across the Smokeys or through western NC. We had to travel north on I81 all the way to Wytheville, then south to Charlotte, so 350 miles added to the trip, plus the 3 hours we first tried to get through to Asheville as the flooding started to mount. What should have been a 5 hour trip turned into 14. Can’t complain much, after seeing all those people lose everything to the floods

That’s some dedication. Props to you. Prayers for those in such terrible circumstances.

Seems like you got it worse than I did in Ga. Eye passed right over me, but no major damage. Power off for 24 hrs. Few trees down.

My 89 yo Mom somehow maintained power in Lawrenceville and no trees down, which is a minor miracle since her backyard looks more like a forest. Her power tends to go out for a little while even for a normal storm, so I think the good Lord watched out for her this time.

Prayers up for others who were not as fortunate.

It went about 100 miles east of the forecast path. Passed right over Clemson and anything 30 miles to the east of Clemson got the worst. This includes Easley where we live and parts of Greenville then up into western NC. It may have been forecast for the Atlanta area but someone forgot to inform Helene.

Clemson Blvd from Anderson is basically a parking lot, people looking for gas and food.

Wow this storm seems to have hit upstate SC and western NC going into tri cities TN, harder than anywhere. crazy pics and videos. The Stanford Clemson game will serve as the biggest relief fund promo you could ask for. I suspect Stanford people will not soon forget there first trip to Death Valley with the name being too literal than we would hope.

All the back streets in Clemson - Folger, Edgewood, Oak, N Clemson - have significant debris and major power lines down. Power poles also are down. If you don’t live in that area don’t go in it
