What if Dabo went "all in" on the portal

...... and the results were the same or worse ..... as in Florida States case. Would all of these Tnet geniuses who knew that the portal was the answer now be on the portal bandwagon? Sorry, but I had to ask.

I think most here were in favor of using it selectively ..... as was I. I was also in favor of Dabo honoring his commitment to the players whose homes he went into and made promises to them and their family.

He isn’t going into recruits’ homes and promising them a guaranteed number of games played or a starting role. He is promising them a chance to compete, get better, and earn a degree.

The geniuses act like there was this huge change. Dabo used the portal exactly as he has been saying he was using. Just a few guys to plug holes. This year he was fortunately that they wanted to come to Clemson to you ("they gotta like you too"). He also, has been using NIL exactly like he said, to retain players, all starters not going to NFL came back. They want to act like its such a big change from his philosophy but its actually right in line with what he has saying all along.

I’m sure we didn’t change anything about the way we approached the portal to land guys who were also pursued by top tier SEC and B1G schools. You must be right it was just serendipity and nothing else.

Sorry ..... have no idea what you are talking about. Many here were quite upset because Dabo did not use the portal ......... fact.
Would those same people be upset if he used the portal and we had the same record? I say probably, but that is speculation, just as you do in many of your posts.

a coach who is doing all he can legally to make our program better.
Because whether you are willing to admit it or not, our program has declined significantly over the past four years. That is incredibly frustrating for many of us who are passionate about Clemson football and being one of the best programs in the country. We should not have a coach who digs his heels in and refuses to use one of the avenues now available to bring in talented and experience players when it is clear that they could help us.
