Seems like a legit source

Nov 4, 2013, 4:57 PM

You have convinced me...tahnks!!

I especially love the nice round $4000 when everything else was so precise.

Oh and which of those on your list CREATE JOBS which brings in more tax revenue? Right.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Actually, none of that money "creates" jobs.

Nov 4, 2013, 6:38 PM

On the whole, government can not "create" jobs without first creating money. That's what they're doing right now. In reality, the government does not have a penny to spend (for creating jobs, or whatever) until they first TAKE it from someone who DOES have a job and earned the money.

I hate that whole term..."creating jobs". How can you create jobs with money you first have to take from people who already have them?

Corporations create jobs...that was my point

Nov 4, 2013, 9:15 PM

The "breaks" come back in the form of increased tax revenue from the jobs created by the (private) corporations.

Your undocumented infographic is very convicing.

Nov 4, 2013, 4:59 PM

I think it is the font choices that make me not believe anything on it.

I'm thinking they mixed up the cost of something for a year with the cost of the other programs for a month.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Probably just comparing lib vs con ideals

Nov 4, 2013, 5:41 PM [ in reply to That comes out to a 9% tax rate...*** ]

But not providing a real source kinda defeats the whole point.

lol.......I think the proper phrase should be,"This doesn't support what I believe, therefore it isn't credible."

think it is BS". Does that work better for you?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just leave it at,"I think it is B.S."

Nov 5, 2013, 8:50 AM

The rest of your quote is up for debate.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Really? You think it makes sense that we spend....

Nov 5, 2013, 9:05 AM

16 times more on "corporate subsidies" than defense?

(note we'll ignore the use of "spend" and "subsidies" for the sake of argument. we'll also ignore the fact that we spend a lot more than we get in from taxes, so divvying up a share based on spending is naturally flawed.)
