If you could reverse one Clemson loss,

May 4, 2022, 3:42 PM

that was not the loss to Alabama in the 2016 National Title Game, which loss would that be?

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LSU of course.

May 4, 2022, 3:44 PM

Now getting one back where we clearly had the better team and still lost? 2013 coot game. With a win there we likely finish in the top 5.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yea, LSU…

May 4, 2022, 3:46 PM

I really hated that team.

Got to be. Not letting Punchable Face Joe Burrow light up

May 4, 2022, 5:18 PM [ in reply to LSU of course. ]

his victory cigar, or accept the illegal $100 bills from Odell Beckham after the game would have been epic. Not to mention, we would have won the NATTY!

But, I have to admit, although some of us will argue against me, LSU had the superior talent on the field that night. Just look at how many of them are ALREADY having success in the NFL.

That danged aggravating 200 lb Gnat Edwards-Helliare is proving to be just about as hard to bring down in the NFL as he was for us in that game. And, don't even talk about their soon to be All-Pro passing game.

GT megatroon

May 4, 2022, 3:46 PM

not sure why, but that one sticks in my crotch. Was in vegas enjoying blackjack and watching that game. Still pissed by the punt

I remember the GT staff got drunk the night before at a Sports Bar in ATL, bragging on this freshman they got.

WV Curb Stomping

LSU was a great team. WVU wasn't that caliber at all and kicked our butts.

WVU was the first thing that popped in my mind BUT

May 4, 2022, 3:53 PM [ in reply to WV Curb Stomping ]

I had to totally take that one out of consideration. Without that loss there is no Venables to Clemson.

That game was a real turning point that sent us on the way up.

This one is easy...

The 2004 16-13 loss to Duke.

The end of 2003 gave me hope in Tommy.

May 4, 2022, 3:57 PM

The 2004 season totally killed it. Every other year with Tommy after that I simply could not get myself to believe that he would ever get us back to where Ford had us in the late 80s. How in the heck do you beat a top 10 Miami team in Miami one week and lose to Duke the next? Right then and there it was obvious we would never turn the corner with Tommy.

And that is EXACTLY why that ********-ing term was coined.

May 4, 2022, 6:26 PM

I can't really blame the pundits for using it during the Bowden era. He deserved every bit of derision they hurled in his direction.

Where they went wrong was not STOPPING the use of that term, when Dabo took the reigns, until he finally called them out on it, in Oh So Memorable Fashion.

Yikes! thanks a lot - I was at that game in Durham, and my wife is a Duke grad. Had n't we just beat Miami on the road the week before or something? Bad memories there.....

Basketball 2022 loss at Duke.

Best game I saw them play all year. Wish the boys could have made that last second shot to win.
