if they had scheduled the LSU game for the 3rd game of the season and Troy as the first? Did scheduling arguably our toughest opponent this year for our first game significantly contribute to the subsequent losses?

If we had won game #1 against LSU might we have won the other two that we lost? After all football is an emotional team game and if a defeatist mindset gets going it can hang over for a while.

yes I wish the schedule would've worked out better. But this team has about as much experience as we've had in a while. There's not a lot of excuses that we could play on how we started the year. The amount of mistakes we made the first 4 weeks of the year were hard to understand. Instead we looked like we were breaking in all new players. LSU tried to hand us that game for a while there and we wanted no part of it. Once LSU figured out we were probably not going to score and probably not going to defend the pass they just started taking shots and it worked out pretty well for them.

I’m with you. I hate playing these strong teams (LSU, Georgia) in game 1. But ESPN loves it, so it’s going to continue.
