Exhilarating win for Tigers just as cruel for Gamecocks
Baseball can be exhilarating, and it can be cruel, and both side were evident in a wild and wacky finish in Columbia Sunday afternoon. Clemson’s baseball team took an exhilarating bus ride back to Clemson following the No. 12 Tigers’ improbable 5-3 victory over No. 4 South Carolina at Founders Park, giving them a 2-1 series win over their arch-rival for the third year in a row. For the two runs we gave them on Friday and I know shoulda woulda coulda but in my biased opinion we are better an a step ahead of the Coots in pitching, hitting, fielding, competing and coaches.
The sweep would have been nice but that game today was one of the best games I've ever witnessed with Chad's stupid decision to challenge Seth after walking him every time up and Seth made him pay like the champ he is.
The fact these kids were determined after giving them the first game not to get beat by playing hard nose baseball with ice in their veins. Seth is starting to rub off on the whole team.
Monte has done an excellent job bringing this team together, thank you Lord for giving us another class act to lead the kids we treasure at Clemson!
I'll never forget the game today, one of the best satisfying games from a fan perspective ever. I would have loved to be apart of the team today, these kids grew up a step closer to being men today, so happy for them/us.
