and is capable of.
Anyone care to venture some guesses at how our final record looks? Are folks satisfied with the season? If not, what's it going to take?
I'm guessing W this weekend. SCAR game at home is going to be tough. Likely have to play our first full 2 half game of the season to get the job done, and I believe we will.
Hopefully the chips fall the right way and we backdoor into the CFP. Once you're in, you never know. If not, I'm seeing predictions for Holiday Bowl in San Diego against CO... I think that'd be a fun bowl game.
Overall, having been a FR in '96, I remember how the team performed on and off the field. I love Dabo leading this program. Would like to see some more #s in our recruiting class, but so it goes.
As always, hope y'all are well and GOOOOO TIGERS!!!!!!!!

Tell me who is healthy and able to play and I’ll tell you how we do. During our championship run seasons, yes we had a few injuries, but very few to key personnel.

Disagree. IMO we lost 2015 to Bama due in part to injuries. We mostly had amazing depth to deal with injuries then. Now? Not so much.

Williams out the whole season
But McKensie Alexander being scratched before the game was a killer.

Alexander played the first half, but sat the 2nd half due to the groin injury he had.

We lost to Bama in 2015 due to one trick play.

The 2nd half onside kick.
We were completely unprepared. Imagine our special teams having issues. That no longer occurs, right? Right???
Saban admitted after that game that he, Kiffin, and Smart met at halftime and agreed that if Bama couldn't steal a possession, they would lose. In Saban's own words, "We couldn't stop Deshaun Watson".

Three things cost us at that game

We could overcome 2 of the 3, but not all of them…
1. Alexander being out 2. Out coached with the perfect onside kick 3. Inability to stop OJ Howard

Even with the other 2, the inside kick was the killer.

We lost that game by 5 points.
The inside kick was at least a 10 point swing in Bama's favor and likely 14.

To agree with others, I think the injury bug (while less worse this year than in previous) has probably hampered this team from being a true title contender.
That being said, I also think we got flat out out coached against UGA, LVL, and Pitt.
The offense failed to convert drives into 6/7 points and that to me has been the biggest issue for this team: inconsistency.

At this point it’s looking like their season will be defined by how well they defend their home turf against a good South Carolina team. 👍🏿🐅

This team is exactly what they’re ranked, 15-20.
Very good, not great.
Talented, not deep.
Will finish with 10–11 wins.

I'm with you Soy. This team has been a mystery all season long. Has not played 2 good halves in any game, the offense is not exciting and very vanilla, and the defense is way below our standard. A lot of changes need to be made in the off season but I don't know if any of that will happen. The coot game could get ugly because they play with emotion and we do not.

I think streaky is the best way to describe this team. Even with injuries, I think this team is a step up from last year. I think we easily beat USCjr if we can play a full game of football instead of halves. After we win, even if we don't go to the ACC CG or Playoffs, I'd still consider a success. If we improve next year like we did this year, we easily get in the playoffs.

This team is inconsistent with a soft defense and no real depth.
