includes them and not the B1G champ? I only ask b/c that will tell the tale for OSU.
I don't see how the committee could justify including Washington and not either PSU/Wisconsin. Yes, the B1G champ has one more loss, but also has a similar, if not better, resume. Washington's SOS is terrible.
If the committee includes OSU, then which champion do you leave out?
I am not sold that Ohio St. is safe in the playoffs.

They leave out the Big 10 champ for sure. Do not lose twice and you will be okay.

OSU is in, If clemson and Wash. win then the big 10 champ and big 12 champ are out. OSU is in for the big 10 so still only one conference is left out. The chair made it pretty clear last night that there was a significant gap in their voting between Penn state and OSU and Penn state holds the head to head. That to me says that gap is even bigger btw Wisc. and OSU with OSU holding the head to head. Even though Penn state is ranked behind Wisc.

I hope you are right.
I would be furious if Clemson won an ACC title AND the head to head, only to be given a lesser rank.
It seems upset wins don't really count to this committee.
If they reason this way now, they will reason this way again.

I would be pizzed too if we had the same record. But Penn St has 2 losses and Ohio st has 1. Ohio st is clearly the better team and they have fewer losses than Penn St. I'm fine with them getting in over Penn St.

If Clemson and Washington both win ,Washington jumps tigers for 3rd

Alabama is the ONLY team that can lose this week and still be in the playoff. If we lose to VT, then we get subbed by OSU or PSU or WIS.
My only concern is the emphasis they are placing on the BIG Ten. Washington is possibly going to be left, and OSU and PSU/WIS winner will be in. The committee will do everything it can to have CLEMSON play Bama in the semis, so the Big Ten is guaranteed a team in the NCG. Washington had better win, and WIN BIG to have a prayer to get in.
Bottom line: DO NOT LOSE!!
