They will have beaten a playoff team. Arizona State can’t say that.

No conference champ with 3 losses deserves a bye.

Oregon, UGa, Boise, and AZSU deserve the byes. Be grateful were in.

I would argue that two wins over UNLV doesn’t mean squat. The committee will probably leave them in top 25 to manage the narrative about Boises watery weak schedule. Other than a 3 point loss to Oregon early in the season.

No problem for Clemson getting a bye. The committee set the precedent last year that if your starting QB is hurt, you're out. That means UGA is out.

That precedent doesn’t apply to the SEC, they have a different set of rules for them.
