Does that put us back in the driver seat for the division (as long as we win-out)? Or, does Syracuse still have the head to head tie breaker since they only have one Atlantic Division loss? I guess the simple question is, are division standings based on overall conference record, or in-division record?

I agree this post is ridiculous...but let me give it a try:

With all due respect, you don't have to listen to people who may know more than you, but it would help if you did your homework.
From the article below, second to last paragraph:
"Notre Dame is a full member of the ACC in all sports except football."
If that is not enough...consider this...UNC has an overall 1-6 record in football, but 0-4 in conference according to the CBS link below on standings.
Forget wins...who did they lose to? California, LOUISVILLE, DUKE, GEORGIA TECH, Notre Dame, VIRGINIA
CONFERENCE LOSSES IN ALL CAPS = 4 LOU, DUKE, GT, UVA
Non-Conference Losses = 2 Cal & ND

I don't see how with NC State in the lead...Miami beating Cuse takes Cuse out of a 3 way tie possibility...does nothing to NC State, who is right now ahead of us.
Right now it is listed as:
Atlantic:
1. NC State
2. Clemson
3. Syracuse
So Cuse goes down to Miami, NC State still stays at 1 until we play them...it just keeps the scenario of Clemson beats NC State, NC State beat Syracuse, Syracuse beat Clemson from happening (which we would win anyways for being higher ranked).

So theoretically our game with NC State decides the ACC Atlantic Champ. We're in the driver's seat because if we win we are in. Now, you could say NC State is in the driver's seat as well, but of their car.
It's similar to the "control your destiny" type of thing.

Cuse will lose multiple more games this year. They are no threat. Miami will also beat them with no problem. It’s NC State we need to worry about. With wins over Louisville and FSU already under their belt, our game is pivotal.
