if Miami beats ND this weekend,

and if we beat FSU, and assuming Bama and Georgia win, then:

1. Bama
2. Georgia
3. Clemson
4. Miami

Then if all four win out, then ACC and SEC championship games are pseudo-playoff games, for 1 and 2 seeds going into the playoffs.

Alabama (1) and Clemson (2) won't play in the semifinals.

We win their respective semifinal games, and boom, the rubber match is here.

California anyone?

I think they have UGA and Bama as 1 and 2 respectively. If UGA beats AU this week, I doubt they change anything for them.

Looking at ND and Miami, I am hesitant to say that Miami can beat ND, even at home. Miami looked pretty good against VT though. So maybe.

IMO the loser of the respective ACCCG and SECCG should be out of the playoffs, unless it's one of those "instant classic" games that could have gone either way. I tend to think of those championship games as the quarterfinals of a sort.

If OU beats TCU, we will have some pressure in the OU vs Clemson resume' discussion. We need Auburn to win to keep our best win in the top 10. There is a good chance if ND and OU both win this week, that they flip us and OU. I think we probably get back in if we win out, but you would rather not have to.
