Wish Dabo had voiced thoughts on NIL before 2019 contract...

When a man says something important like that......believe him!

Because he clearly was being honest....he doesn't want to coach college football if it's going to be like a pro league with players getting paid (NIL) and free agency (portal). He's doubled and tripled down that he is going to keep coaching and recruiting like it's 2018.

But coming off the second Natty he could have said practically anything and still gotten the big contract extension. It wouldn't have mattered.

then he'd better make sure he has the very BEST coaches to recruit and develop the talent we bring in. We had better prove that we are the VERY BEST at getting 100% of the players that choose Clemson. We better prove that we can get them ready to play AND SUCCEED in the NFL. If he doesn't, higher salaries and free agency will consign Clemson Football back to the success ceiling of Tommy Bowden.

that strategy resulted in our success in football reverting back to the ceiling we had under Tommy Bowden? Because with inept, incompetent assistant coaches, no use of the portal and no competitiveness in the NIL market, that's where we're heading.

Preach. Here’s what some folks are missing;

Dabo does have two natties,
Dabo does have ten year contract,
Dabo has a big heart, maybe bigger than his ego. He wants his guys (players & coaches) to be successful. I do admire that about him.

I also think Dabo is a winner and I think he wants that third trophy.

Possibly, Clemson can’t compete in NIL space. At least not for top players. We were one of the first teams to talk to the UVA corner back.

I think there is a difference of what we can do in comparison. Yeah I do not think we can do better, no matter what Dabo thinks about the NIL. He is working on the NIL anyway. I like his approach on everything other than Streeter.

Confused you act like us as fans would have signed or would not have signed him depending on his thoughts regarding the NIL.

If I’m way off apologies, but not sure it would have mattered what he would have or did not say.

Clemson messed up terribly when they ran Ford off not sure they will make that mistake again.
