Lakelands standoff, Zach Bailey

what a beatdown. Heres a few things I noticed last night.
Markevious Lewis had the only positive play for the coots late in the 4th quarter. I'm not sure who blew their blocking assignment but Lewis got right in there quickly. Then I see Gage Cervenka right up in Lewis' face. This is cool to me because both played against each other in high school. Lewis (Greenwood HS) and Cervenka (Emerald HS). They are rivals here in this city of Greenwood. However, Emerald has NEVER beaten the Greenwood Eagles. I guess Gage finally got the last word, here.
Zach Bailey. LOL. Did anyone see the play where he tried to Block big Dex to open a hole for the shuffle pass up the middle?!! oh wow, Bailey is a first round Guard, then i'm not sure what Dex is because he threw Zach aside and made the tackle like it was nothing. I enjoyed this, possibly more than I rightfully should have.
How special is DeShaun Watson, guys? Jake Bentley, over there, had at least 14 years of coaching from his father, Bobby Bentley, a Quarterbacks coach and two older brothers who played the position well, won state titles, etc. I would say that's an advantage.
This brings me to a question that has never been answered. Did DeShaun have the presence of a father figure, at any point, in his life? Much less, someone with the knowledge to train him to be as good as he was when he arrived here in Clemson.
If you compare the two, even in their Freshman seasons, it's laughable. DeShaun is the real deal, best quarterback to ever play the position, at any school, in any state, in any country. PERIOD. GOOOOO TIGERSSS!!!

If Bailey came to Clemson he would be better

Iron sharpens iron and going up against our DL would make him great. Him going up against scrubs will not make him better. He may not get to the NFL with the competition he faces.

Bailey is definitely a 1st rounder but Dexter is a bonafide top 10 pick barring injury.

Bailey is a guard. Not many guards are drafted in the first round. I guess we'll wait and see.
In 2016 one guard was drafted in the first round - number 28. Only one guard was drafted in the second round - number 56. Only 13 guards were drafted in the whole draft.
He should have been a Clemson Tiger. At this point in his career he could had 25 wins versus 9 and been a part of much better teams and bowl trips.
His LOSS!

Regardless of his ability, which I think is overrated, Bailey's college career is half over. His team won only 3 games last year. They became bowl eligible this year with perhaps the weakest schedule in D1 football with 2 luck wins (Vandy and East Carolina). They will go to a bottom of the barrel bowl. However, they got absolutely demolished by their rival this year. They won't be much better next year because they don't have that cupcake schedule. So, he will have basically nothing to show for his college career. He chose it, deal with it.
