Clemson wins out. No ACC championship no playoffs. Probably go to Gator bowl let’s say Clemson beats a team like Oklahoma, Vanderbilt or Missouri. How would everyone feel about that? It mean a win against the coots and likely a top 15 finish.

Disappointed from what I thought we could accomplish from the beginning of the year. But after game four I was hoping to make a bowl, so I would be very happy about 10 and 3.

That's fault for counting on what we didn't have at the start of the season. IMO a 10-3 season finish would be another 10 win season for Dabo as our HC and they've kept mounting up since 2011...

I would be extremely happy, and a ton of trust would be restored in Dabo. Turning a 1-3 start into a 9 game win streak is no easy feat at any school/program.

To be fair to the Judge, the Tigers were a preseason #4 ranked team so not making the top 12 and getting into the playoff would be a bit disappointing. Having said that, not losing another game this year would go a long way to making up for that...

Not when you were predicted to be a national championship contender, your QB was predicted to win the Heisman, and you had multiple players who had first round NFL Draft grades.
Even our very own coach talked about how special this team is and said that we would be the first 16-0 national champion.
Any thunderstorm here should be directed at the media and our coaching staff, not me.

If Sellers plays in our game, however, we're going to get beat.
When he gets loose, he causes damage. And he'll certainly get loose a few times against us.

Pleased, with some lingering concerns. What happened in the first four games? Why do slow starts seem to be the norm now? And maybe more importantly, what is next year gonna look like? 10-3 is no small feat considering the start and a lot of credit to Dabo and the other coaches. I would also still feel changes are needed.

So of course I would be happy but it wouldn’t change my mind that we’re no longer elite. We’re a top 25-15 team if we play as good as we can.
I mean look, we play in the ACC. Outside of Miami we should have won out with maybe a random loss thrown in just because it’s hard to win them all.

Good points. Exactly how I would feel. Given the scenario of the original post, it would most likely mean we would have won 10 games against unranked opponents. And the majority of our wins would be against losing teams.

Grateful that changes were made and hope endures. Disappointed that it took losing 3 of 4 to realize something needed to change. Appreciative to the players and staff for bot giving up when almost all of tnet, includibg myself, thought that there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Mildly angry that we failed to live up to potential again. Left to wonder if the pattern has been broken or whether it will continue.

Like most I would have preferred an ACCCG bid and/or CFP appearance, but that's just not going to happen every year. Afterwards, I would hope that Dabo and Company will find the recipe to make next year even better.
Footnote: one wag predicted a Gator Bowl bid against Okramyhomer and the venerable Brent Venables, and I'd bet the Clemson folks would pack the stadium to see that. I'd, also, bet a significant number of Clemson folks in attendance would give BV one heck of a welcome.

But the off-season would have to be about being ready on Day 1. It’s one thing to lose, it’s another to take the first few weeks to figure things out. Everyone involved in this activity is getting too rich to treat a featured game against an SEC team and two conference games like it’s an opportunity to gel.

IMO, for it to get better for our team, there must be some coaching changes as soon as our season is over. Also, if no coaching changes are made with as many starters as we'll be losing at season end, this season was beautiful compared to what next season will look like!!!

Failed season and nothing changes because we of how we finished. Then we’re back to where we are when we start 2-3 next year. At some point we need to see Dabo make drastic changes. A 9 straight win finish would cause Dabo to feel nothings wrong. Just keep chugging along business as usual.

Of course 10-3 would be fine but getting blasted by Syracuse and down 16-0 to Troy is just unacceptable. I can live with losing to a good team like LSU and Ga Tech (this year) but those horrible performances vs bad teams will cost us a possible playoff opportunity if we ran the table.

If the beginning of the season was a "scared straight" moment and we still made some changes in our philosophy towards the portal and offseason training and either a revamped offense or a new OC I'd say this might be the most impactful season/offseason since 2011.
(assuming we get some offseason changes) I'll be happy with 8-4 with a win over the coots.
10-3? A disappointment from preseason hopes but after starting 1-3 a hel! of a turnaround.

To maintaining some recruiting momentum. And it would be a successful season, technically. But anytime we are out of contention for the ACC championship in the playoffs we are under achieving.
The other thing is if we manage to do that, it will be no staff changes and we can expect not much different than we’ve gotten the last couple of years and I don’t think that that’s what the expectation is anymore.

It's a disappointment regardless of winning out, the playoff hope is gone. We were the most experienced team coming into this season and looked brand new to start. It's inexcusable no matter what. Beating SC is the only thing that matters to me, there isn't enough good teams left on the schedule to beat and move up significantly in the rankings to find the top 12 again. Miami or GT aren't going to lose 3 games to help in the Conf race. It just is what it is now.

I'd feel like we blew a chance at the playoffs and competing for a championship because this was supposed to be the year.
I'd still be worried for next year because of the players we are losing, the lack of a reliable option at QB and the uncertainty of coaching and player development given how the start of the season was messed up.

As I said earlier in another thread
After the break we have seemed like a different team. Yes , competition has a lot to do with that but there's more to the story.
Riley has turned up the wick on this offense. Heck , we're getting all three TEs touches whereas before you wouldn't think we had a TE.
That's just one example but I digress.
That's a different team out there than the one that took the field against LSU.
What if Dabo told him to turn it loose ? At this point what is there to lose. I can imagine that happening.
What if they haven't even hit their stride yet ? That's possible. It's as equally possible as the naysayers belief that we finish with 5 or more losses. Nobody knows.
We could easily be the high octane offense everybody thought we would be to start the season
Peeking at the right time , as the saying goes.
I tell ya what. If we run SMU off the field , and it's possible , you'll have your answer.

Yes it sucks missing out on ACC title & preseason CFP expectations, but also would mean players/coaches didn't throw in the towel & everybody got to rowing in the same direction. Plus 10-3 after such a bad start would provide a solid base to build on for 2026 season
