Something from Saturday that nobody is mentioning...

Oct 9, 2012, 8:23 AM

Twice we stopped Ga. Tech on 4th down and short. Yes they may have had some big plays but our defense also stood tall when they needed to. I know that for me I can't remember a time we held a team twice on a 4th and 1. I am getting excited because we are showing improvement and making in game adjustments.

I, also, think we are getting some improvement from the defense, and especially with the halftime adjustments. I hope we continue to improve and bring on the young talent we have, but we do need some more really talented defensive players to compete at the level we want. If we hold the commits we have and add a couple of more, we should be vastly improved.

Id say we stopped them once

Their center just had a ### moment and snapped the ball into his own legs and we capitalized on that. As far as just man on man stopping them, we did do that once and it was pretty impressive

I thought the crowd noise helped a little on that one....

but , hey , a little bit of pressure is on both sides on fourth and one, ....we could have blown it and jumped offsides or something stupid like that , but we didnt...

You must be on the wrong site. Most people here just want to have something to complain about. That way, if we are unfortunate enough to drop a game, they can tell everyone that they saw it coming weeks ago. The Clemson Tigers are a great football team that is 5-1 with a chance to continue to improve on the field and with their record. The people that continue to say WE aren't this are WE aren't that don't understand the meaning of WE. Don't get me wrong, it is fine to say that we need to improve in this area or that area. I'm sure that is true of just about any team, person, group, whatever. But say it in a positive way. Think PAWSitively. Thank you for your post.

2010 Auburn had some pretty ugly wins in the mix

Oct 9, 2012, 8:43 AM

but kept finding a way to win, and they improved on both sides of the ball as the season progressed. How did that season turn out for them?

It sucks to have dropped that game to FSU the way we did, but I think it grasped some attention and will pay off. Eager to see how this BYE week sets up for personnel changes and overall mindsets of the team!

Also, Tackle for loss at their own GL.

I know people talk big about it, but when a team is gashing you all day long and you tackle a guy THE ONE PLACE HE KNOWS HE CAN NEVER BE TACKLED EVER, then that speaks volumes.

Hmmmm...maybe Johnson should fire his offensive coordinator too. Oh, he can't do that...he's the OC.
