I would've taken Ingram over Coples

Apr 26, 2012, 9:43 PM

but as a Panthers fan, I'm stoked we got Kuechly. Was a tough spot, not one player left at number 9 jumped off the sheets as a must have. At least with Luke, the LB corps has the potential to be one of the best in the league.

Ingram has too short of arms and is only like 6'0 Coples

Apr 26, 2012, 9:48 PM

is a better talent just has off the field questions

Coples never played consistently hard either.

Better upside I guess, Ingram doesnt have a fit position***

If Coples played ruthless every snap, I'd have prayed that the Panthers picked him, but he hasn't.

maybe, but maybe not

Apr 26, 2012, 9:55 PM [ in reply to Better upside I guess, Ingram doesnt have a fit position*** ]

a lot of scouts felt like he just didn't play well at times.

Tightends were able to handle him well too often - that's his knock.

Coples had 2.5 sacks against schools not named Duke or James Madison. As a Jets fan I was pretty upset, I would have taken a lot of DE over Coples, not just Ingram.

Not off field issues, passion for the game issues***

that too, maybe money will change that

I like the pick...BUT

Apr 26, 2012, 9:53 PM

We need someone up front in the worst kind of way. Personally I was hoping we could have gotten Cox. Although Kuechly was the highest rated left of the board at the time we picked.

I'm not sure who will be available come 2nd round or 3rd. We must find a CB and DT...

Re: I like the pick...BUT

Apr 26, 2012, 9:57 PM

We need a CB and DT big time, hopefully we'll get it. I'm glad we didn't draft one of the DT's early because I think the big reason those guys were picked early were because the teams who picked them were desperate for a DT. Poe had great combine numbers, but I wasn't too big on him because he didn't dominate lesser competition the few times Memphis played worse teams.

Imgram was overrated in the first place...

Apr 26, 2012, 9:53 PM

His production dropped off big time midsession. Andre Branch had much better numbers under a much worse DC. All of Ingrams hype come from the td's he scored early in the season.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

not correct***

Ingram, Gilmore and Jeffrey are gone from coots. Coots or not, they are good football players.

Melvin has that great "Gansta" suit on tonight.

Apr 26, 2012, 9:57 PM

What an excellent representative for USCjr. It would be funny if it was not so sadly pathetic. IQ<80

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He looked sharp. 3 piece suit looked good.

Apr 26, 2012, 9:58 PM

very proud of him myself.

Apr 26, 2012, 10:00 PM

Like Eric norwood

Re: Will you be proud when he turns out like a bust....

Apr 26, 2012, 10:29 PM

Still very proud of Norwood. Dont know what your definition of a bust is, but he's still with the Panthers and was picked in the 4th round. Also, you're comparing a 1st round pick with a 4th round pick (Norwood). Not the same. Just some food for thought. Carry on...
