Should we rest starters for the chicken game

Or will we need them to win. Or can we make playoff even if we lose but beat Miami.

even if Muschamp gives up and pulls his starters, we keep the 1st stringers in. If you want a piece of the beatdown, then earn a starting job.

If we lose to the chickens we aren't good enough, nor deserve to go to the playoffs. WE should beat them like a rented mule, but even with a C performance we will win a close game

The answer is we need a lot of guys to heal up. Don't think we have the luxury of "resting" them, as you put it. They simply won't be available.

Some of our players have been here long enough to remember losing to USUC, so I'm pretty sure if they can play, they will certainly want to. And others have never lost to USUC, and they will want to play too. Oh wait... that includes everyone, so NO - we won't rest them. LOL

We could lose to the Coots even with our starters...

if we turn the ball over too much and they are playing well for them. It's not an absolute lock.

To properly answer: Rest the starters for Citadel this week as much as possible and let the younger players gain valuable experience for the future contests. WB will be rocking as their fans and team want nothing better than a win over a top four program, especially when we still have critical games to play for the CFP.
Getting as many veterans ready to compete will be a must. Usuck has a chip on their shoulder and Muscrap will use it accordingly. Anyone expecting a blow out best reconsider all the elements surrounding this game.

and would add a new element to our bitter rivalry. It would go down in the history books: Clemson rests starters against South Carolina.
I don’t think Dabo would do that, because we will likely need our starters for at least most of the game to beat them. That would be hilarious though!

Let the starters play the 1st half against the Citadel then put in Hunter Johnson and let him play with the starting offense for the entire 3rd quarter and then start putting in 2nd and 3rd string in the 4th quarter with Hunter still remaining in the game.
Against USC we should play our starters until/if we get a 21 point plus lead then put in the subs.

Have you seen our play calling this season and execution lately especially at qb. We are suspect on offense. Why do teams run trick plays on us and we never do. It shows the lack of creativity and realty true offense minded play calling by coaches. We are so out coached with the top teams on offense but have as much talent as anyone.
