No one is talking about him, but I really think his loss was super impactful. Dude is only 6’8”, but he played bigger than that, was a solid defender, and was really trending up on the offensive side of the ball.
Hindsight being 20/20, really wish we could’ve kept him.

I agree. I hate the idea of bashing 20 year old kids, but I think RJ would’ve been a better fit with this team.

Meh he's not playing anymore minutes at Jawga. We do need more athleticism though!

He was better than Wiggins but was not going to beat out Shieff at the 4 spot. He was not a wing. Only averaged about 6 pts a game for Georgia, and fouled out a lot.

He increased his minutes by about 5 and he upped his points and rebounding

by one each per game...I was sad to see him leave, but he wasn't going to effectively man the 5 nor beat Ian out, so I think we upgraded signing Vik... but I did hate losing RJ

If you remember he apparently was asking for a guarantee that he would start. Knowing Lahkin was coming in I think it was the right move by Brownell not to give that guarantee. Loves RJ and his contribution during last tournament was huge. Wish he would have stayed without any guarantees and been prepared to just fight it out.

Well said smed. He was a big loss but he wanted a guarantee that most honest coaches won’t give. I will take Wiggins, he wanted to be here and had flashes. Just needs to be more consistent next year.

Agreed, I wish we could’ve developed into a three or a really big two, but even then I know you couldn’t guarantee him a starting spot.

Apparently he got the guarantee at Georgia but it was a hollow one as subs off the bench got more minutes than him. On this, I don't blame CBB. Can't have kids dictating your lineup. But yes, we surely needed another big man with some bulk and aggression this year.

Yes, especially Duke and UNC Viktor. Neither had an answer!
