Yeah, I travel all over the country every year, too. I also leave the country at least once a year for a nice week-long Caribbean vacation. Who cares? This is how I know you still have the mind of a child. "I travel more than you for my job!" Okay, kid. Nobody cares.

For someone who travels as much as you claim you do and works with so many different types of people, you sure are a closed-minded bigot. And I love getting lectures on life and experiences from a guy who was 12 when 9/11 happened. Yeah. Tell me about the world.

I love how much my garage bar triggers some of you. I posted that in the Lunge because I thought that was on topic with the sort of stuff everyone posts. Maybe it would have more substance than online game scores. I built something like that with my own hands that has provided endless entertainment, fellowship, and bonding for friends in our neighborhood as well as made many new friends around it. The fact that it upsets some of you speaks volumes about the type of people y'all are. You think that's an insult when you bring it up? Son, you wouldn't even know where to start with building something like that. Maybe I should post pics of the massive built-in cabinets and shelves I made for my wife's office to really trigger some of you.

I'll roll my replies to your other recent responses into this one: Yeah, I guess some people aren't going to get over the frat thread. I suppose I hit too close to home for some of them; others just overreacted and thought I was targeting them when I wasn't. I'm guessing you might be the former. Either way, sorry I hit such a sensitive mark with a bunch of grown men.

Yep, I don't have kids. It especially sucks when I have to witness how many bad parents there are out there, and it's becoming clear you're one of them. Closed-minded hate. Crying about what others are doing to your kids. Those type of people are the ones who always shove electronic devices into their kids' hands from an early age so they don't have to deal with them, blame everyone else under the sun for their kids' behavior, and act like their babies can do no wrong.

My parents taught me that I alone am responsible for my behavior; they didn't cry about how the big bad world was harming me. They taught me to be tough. But that's how most of us were raised back then. Anyway, keep telling me how the world works, kid.

I'll go back to that old boat reply you gave to me in the Lunge years ago when I cracked a simple joke about not owning a boat but having friends with a boat. You lost your mind and went on a tirade about how people like me take advantage of people with boats and bring uninvited guests and get drunk and make messes and whatever. That told me a lot about what you grew up around. See, I was taught that when I was invited to something, you didn't bring uninvited guests. You help pay for costs, like gas or beer. You respect the persons property and act like a gracious guest. Sorry you grew up around Hickersons and Gower brats who acted the way you described, but that told me volumes about you. But it was amusing listening to this kid lecture me on boat etiquette when he was still in diapers back when I learned the right way to act.

If you're gonna be done with this, be done with it. Or take it to TMail. Don't come back crying like a baby again.

There is one thing you are correct about in this thread through all the nonsense, and that's that I need a break. I'm already well into breaking my resolution of disengaging from arguments with people who are either completely ignorant of the topic at hand, refuse to employ critical thinking skills regarding said topic, or just flat out lack the mental capacity to entertain it. I've been better about it in person, but ###### if this stupid little enclave of Tigernet hasn't kept bringing me back.

I'm wasting my time on a board arguing with people who consume TikTok and Rogan and think they're informed, and I'm sitting here thinking I could get them to read a well-researched article in NY Times or WSJ or Cato and actually have a discussion about it. I couldn't get them to read a book that didn't have pictures in it even if I paid them let alone entertain some insight that maybe the issue is more complicated than the YouTube video they watched. They think anecdotal evidence from their bumfuck town somehow can be presented as undeniable fact, and they parrot the idiocy they've heard on a podcast because ###### if they can be troubled to do a little research. THOSE are the context clues I pick up.

Or they spend months railing against doctors and scientists at an institution but then, without a batting an eye, cite the same institution for a survey of teenagers as fact and law.
