Finally! It does me good to see this publicly addressed instead of debated amongst us here at TigerNet. I can't wait to see the improvement this Fall! Go Dabo!

Sometimes I get the feeling Clemson is so confident that the offense will put up points that the specialty teams don't have to be special. But if they want to win a Natty.........

If I had One guess, or if the choice was up to me to ask or send the tapes to. Frank Beamer would be my very 1st, 2nd, and 3d choice. Beamer ball won the man a lot of games, and you could be sure his special team were going to be great. So yes, I think Beamer was the one he ask to take a look at them!!!!

Glad to hear Dabo go public with this. But...that's a pretty safe statement to make considering we were almost last among all FBS teams last year. Got no where to go but up. fingers crossed.

Not that it matters but, I have only read the few lines on the front page, and regardless of what the rest of it reads. My question is, did Dabo have to lose the most important game of his Head Coaching career before he knew that our special teams was in a drastic need of fixing. Rest assure that I'm in no way throwing stones at Dabo. When Dabo was given the HC job at Clemson, and taking over all the duties of our FB team, I was all In for Dabo the minute Terry Don Phillip's announced Dabo as the new FB Head Coach for Clemson University. And Dabo has more than proved that Terry Don made an excellent choice for our Clemson FB team. And I'm wondering how Dabo and our coaching staff didn't see that our special teams needed fixing before it cost us our biggest FB game since January 1st 1982. In Dabo and his coaching staff I do believe in. I'm looking forward to an improved special teams for the 2016 season. Coaches and our team stated that they will be back, and we will cash in bringing the jackpot back to Clemson in 2017 for our team and fans to gloat over while driving the final nails through the chicken hearts with the ACC championship, a Heisman trophy QB, and a National Championship trophy. There isn't a better way to gut chickens, just to stomp on their hearts. Fix it Dabo, Goooo Tigersss!!!

Exactly! Find a soccer player and let him put it in the stands every time. Spend practice time on something else.

don't need to coach special teams, it's not like we lost a national championship partial because of special teams or anything". We haven't had a reliable return man that also has speed and elusiveness for years. Notice the reliable part, if you muff the ball regularly it's not worth the risk to put you out there. Kick coverage this year was bipolar in the way it would go from looking really good to looking like half of the guys in coverage decided to immediately attack the ball. Please go watch some of the film and you'll see what I'm talking about. The same players nearly everytime would decide to go off on their own and not tend to their lanes. I'm not sure if it's a lapse in judgement or overconfidence but whoever we put out there has to be disciplined enough to not get caught up in the heat of the moment and do something stupid.

It first starts with a kicker who can kick the ball deep enough into the endzone that the returner takes a knee. It was in a stadium where the roof was closed so no wind was involved . I was sitting in that endzone area where he caught the kick at the 5 and Bama went to their left all night against us not just on that kickoff. A little later in the game their TE #88 went right around their left side on a jet sweep shovel pass that he took almost all the way. Bama picked up on something with our right side on defense and kickoffs.

Clemson being one of the two statistically worst special teams in the country only underlines how bad we were and how bad a position Watson and the D was placed in time and time again every game. After attending UNC game, my worst fears that we would beat Oklahoma and be able to compete with Bama only to lose on ST were confirmed. It's astounding the quality of the athletes on Clemson, and yet no one could contain or tackle. #### the walk-ons at TX A&M were better.
We could do nothing on ST in 2016 and get better. But hearing Dabo say he is personally committed to fixing ST in 2016 works for me. He has earned my trust based on his track record of rapid improvement. Next year is our chance to cash in with Deshaun still in orange and hopefully some starters & head hunters on special teams.

Glad he noticed given it almost cost us the acc title game and it did turn the tide in the natty game. Nice thing is unlike Bowden, when Dabo says he is going to take care of something, he does!
We are so fortunate to have that man at the helm!

i can guarantee that dabo was immediately aware of every clemson mistake that contributed to that loss and he began working on resolution immediately after the game..we have one of the best (if not the best) coaching staffs in the country..we would have won the national champioship had it not been for two kickoffs we blew badly..and there is no tnet poster that knows that better than dabo.
