went from elite level to a above average level overall team with a below level overall QB
He certainly did not help FSU in any way. They were going to fall short of last year given any outcome other than undefeated since Travis did lead them to an 12-0 record and they did win the ACCCG. Still gets me riled up knowing we had FSU beat in Death Valley only to let the jaws of defeat ###### certain victory away from the Tigers.

Yea not sure why they chose that path. If I’m DJ I’m working out with the TE’s, at least it would create another possible path to the league.
I am curious and know we could not get a number, but how much money he has made in college and why?
He was a 5 star and followed Lawrence who followed Watson. My guess is those in the know just thought Clemson had another stud and wanted to invest??

DJ was picked up in the MLB draft as a pitcher a couple of years ago, but decided to stay in college and play football instead. I don't recall his exact draft position, but it was in one of the later rounds, maybe the last round, so he wasn't going to receive any guaranteed money in baseball at the time. At least not compared to what he was getting in NIL.
He may want to go back and see if he can re-enter the draft or if that team still wants him, its his only chance of ever going pro.

Why do we continue to beat up on this guy? There is a list of people who contributed to our performance during his tenure. Leave him alone. Tigernet - need prayer? Post a request and it is amazing how many respond. Player reneges on commitment, transfers - some just lose any sense of fairness. Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde?

I was just referring to the WR decommits the Noles are going through. It’s a really good group. I believe that is what happened to us. Top tier receivers could tell that was a broken offense with him at the helm. It’s a vicious downward spiral when it gets going in the wrong direction. Only a coach and program as strong as Dabo/Clemson is prepared to bounce back.

He was not good, for sure. Norvell totally missed on him.
But, he was playing behind the worst coached OL in the country. He was throwing to receivers who lead the nation in dropped passes. Due to the abysmal play of the OL, the running game is the worst in the nation. Our two long rushes this year have come in the last 2 weeks. 1. Fake punt where the up man caught the snap and ran for 41 yards. 2. A QB sneak that started with a bad snap and somehow the QB came out of the pile when it looked like it was a two yard loss and he ran for 42 yards.
I know y'all don't follow FSU as close as I do. I know y'all are reveling in the troubles of FSU. But, I will assure you of this. No matter how bad you think the current state of the program is at FSU, you are wrong. It is even worse.

I would be willing to bet he does not play another down this year. He and Big Dave have figured out if he gets another year because of medical redshirt, they can rape another institution and sponsors for more NIL money. Big Dave is nothing but a money hound and Karma is a wonderful thing.

I won't go into any details but Deion is a controversial figure even to Nole fans. Let's just say he has burned a lot of bridges in the past 15 years.
And, if Deion is hired, I will change my username on this board and Clemson will definitely become #1 on my fan list, with FSU moving down somewhere way below the Tigers.

When said another program so who did he kill before FSU?
DJ Uiagalelei's record as a starting quarterback for Clemson was 22 wins and 6 losses. This tied him with Homer Jordan, the 1981 national championship quarterback, for the seventh-most career wins by a starting quarterback in Clemson history
The FSU coach brought him into the program knowing what he was getting from three years of film. FSU tried another QB with the same result. If you need to blame someone I would point to their coach.

I'll be honest here, DJ solely lead us to just a small handful of those wins. His record is misconstrued due to our defense being a powerhouse during his tenure and the running game under Shipley and Mafah being our only consistent at best offense. I exaggerate only slightly in saying a dead duck would've been just as capable most of those games at QB.

No doubt he had a very good supporting cast as he is not a difference maker at QB. My point is the OP said he killed "another" program so who is the first program he killed? He did not lead our program to greatness, but he certainly did not kill it. At Oregon St, he was also average but certainly did not kill their program.

You believe the home state of the QB makes a difference?
A few QBs who when to HS in California and did ok:
1. Tom Brady (Serra, San Mateo) ... 2. John Elway (Granada Hills) ... 3. Aaron Rodgers (Pleasant Valley, Chico) ... 4. Dan Fouts (St. Ignatius, San Francisco) ... 5. Warren Moon (Hamilton, Los Angeles) ... 6. Jim Plunkett (James Lick, San Jose) ... 7. Carson Palmer (Santa Margarita, Rancho SM) ... 8. Norm Van Brocklin (Acalanes, Lafayette) .

They have so many issues outside of QB, I can't imagine even a good QB making much of a difference. Maybe they would have pulled out one more win somewhere.
That offense really just has nothing going for it so unless they could've found a player like Vick, Cam, Lamar, Jayden Daniels, etc that can run and throw and put an entire offense on their back, I just don't see them doing anything on that side of the ball. I'm not sure that player even exists this year, but the closest thing is probably Cam Ward playing for their rival.

Their program is built on the transfer portal. While I do believe in adding certain players to fill gaps, it isn't a sustainable way to build a program. FSU is a prime example of just how good it can go and how bad it can go just as quickly!
