Me thinks Israel and Cooper MAY have a say so behind Bryant. Like ole Nick but he just doesn't have the talent. Maybe just maybe Cooper will take a redshirt.

is that Cooper doesn't redshirt. We have so much talent on the way, even after Cooper, and hopefully Cooper will get some PT to be more ready to possibly be out starter in 2017.

Why? If he is a stud he will stay 3 years. Moreover...

Why not have him more experienced for 2017?

Then we will have 3 stud frosh in 2017. I say get him in the mix immediately if he is that talented and remotely ready. If he isn't ready to compete, then I agree he should RS.

As I said "behind" Bryant. I would probably take him over Schuessler, but that's just me.

He wants to be a QB but he will need to be able to throw the ball in this offense. Not his fault he came from an offense that ran the option then moved to Wren where they threw the ball. He still didn't throw as much as previous QBs did because he was such a dynamic runner. He needs both in this offense. It's up to him to get better.

Schuessler is a senior and was very valuable as a backup 2 years ago & last year. (Similar to Davidson @ RB - needed in case of an injury) will see only mop up duty as a courtesy thank you for past support. Not in the longer term plans because of eligibility.
Watson a junior that might leave early (NEVER KNOW, injury or he may want/need to stay to get better/prove something) There are many reasons a player may stay for their 4th year. Has worked out very well for many in the NFL that they 4th year got them the job. Too many have left early and should have stayed for even more experience, but a very talented few (Watson is possibly one) have gone on to great careers after only 3 yrs at college. ** how do you top a year like 2015? One doesn't have too. Must develop more leadership and let others carry the load more. Learn to be one of the 11 - hold it together, rise when needed, develop others, manage game vs win it by yourself.
Bryant a sophomore needs to greatly improve in passing, touch and gain much more experience. This spring will be critical for him to show a much better grasp of the offense and is less one-dimensional as a runner first. The head and the arm both need to be developed much more. may get passed by Israel and Cooper quickly.
Israel a RS Freshman. Gotta see what he has in a real game. Showed great arm & head last spring.
Cooper a true freshman. Welcome to the fold. Needs to learn. Strength is in the pocket with his arm. Needs to transform into a college player and the college game (speed). Needs reps to slow down the game
Brice & Johnson - current commits. Not counting our chickens before they hatch. Both are good and give us great potential for the distant future. Johnson has as much if not more speed than Cooper and is a better runner with the ball. To get 2 quality commits this early is a great sign of the direction and momentum of our brand.

Who knows if he's any good
Crazy HS numbers, but his size, the depth chart, and incoming talent make it impossible for this to be anything other than a transfer waiting to happen

Like someone who never looks for opportunity, except, of course, to talk about why others should give up too. Lady, I've news for you, it's because of people who do face challenges, who do fight for opportunities before them - or make opportunities for themselves, that we have bright shining examples of achievement for us to follow - or for us to point our children too. You, however, are not one of those. So, please get back into your closet before the meteor hits.

This is what I see happening. Cooper will beat out Bryant in the future so I could see Bryant moving to another position if he does not become a more accurate passer. If we keep both the guys coming in for 17 then there is no use in Cooper red shirting. I am not sure what happens with Tucker but I can see him transferring if he gets beat out by cooper. We have a good problem to have at qb. If the 17 guys come in we would have all kinds of great talent at the position. Johnson is the interesting one because he is more of a pro style qb than Watson or Cooper so it will be interesting to see how we use him in the future if he signs with us.

He was the ALL TIME passing leader in the state of florida in so many categories and it wasn't even close. Not close. And this State has produced tons of outstanding qbs. He was a heck of a runner too. A pure, natural gunslinger who could make all the throws. Our mr. Football. Don't write him off yet. An even better kid than athlete. Nothing but great wishes for him.

I thank him for choosing Clemson. With that being said... He is gonna have a really hard time trying to compete against KB, Cooper, and Schuessler.

We have lebron James (DW4) Westbrook (KB), Kevin durant (Zerrick). And then you have washed up Kobe Bryant. That's Israel. He will never beat th kings in front of him. Take your glasses off an be realistic. I'll do another sport for you. Dw4- Brady. KB-kapernick Zerrick- Wilson. Israel is Ryan tannehill

What have you seen out of TI to make a statement like that?
I'll go ahead and answer....nothing! You have no idea if he will be a good college qb. None whatsoever. He could easily show out in the spring and pass KB and NS. Not saying he will, but he could. It's kind of crazy that you would bury him behind two other qb's who have accomplished just as much in college as he has...which is nothing.

Some of our all-time best QB recruits
Feb 14, 2016, 11:28 AM

Michael Carr, Willie Simmons and Willie Korn (for whatever reason no knock on the Willies)
Then of course we had lower ranked buried on the depth chart QBs like Whitehurst Streeter and Harper

###, Ms Cleo must have read all yall the same story. I must

have missed the speech when Dabo said Tucker sucked. Everyone here needs to slow it down. Yall remember when we thought Stoudt was gonna be better than Boyd based on limited play? Dead wrong. I agree that Bryant has showed flashes of greatness but Cooper and Tucker could be better. We don't know because we haven't seen them play yet. If I remember correctly Tucker set nearly every important QB record in FLORIDA. You don't just do that by accident. We do run our QB's a decent amount but nowhere near the frequency that Bryant has already run. If he was an elite passer we probably would have let him throw it a bit more.
Time will tell but they all have a shot at it....except nick.

The comments on here saying Tucker Israel isn't athletic are absurd. How in the world do they think he set all of the QB records in Florida with no athletic ability. It is completely idiotic! What in the world are they basing it on anyway?!

Athleticism at QB implies running ability and "escapability"

[ in reply to Re: ###, Ms Cleo must have read all yall the same story. I must ] |

By that definition, neither Peyton Manning nor Tom Brady are "athletic" ... but Johnny Manziel and Doug Flutie are "athletic" ... so are Russell Wilson and Cam Newton.

step up and show he's the clear #2 during spring, or else he's likely to get buried on the depth chart behind the younger guys. Pretty sure he'll be a graduate by the end of spring (if he isn't already) so his transfer options would be wide open with immediate eligibility if needed.
Nobody knows nothin about Tucker Israel. Period. You don't get recruited by this staff at QB unless you've got the goods, athletically and competitively. Hopefully they all fight like #### for playing time behind DW4. Next man up.
