It was around 93 or so in the Peach Bowl. Clemson was losing for most of that game, when late in the fourth quarter, fullback, Emory Smith (brother of Emmitt Smith) took a handoff up the middle and rumbled all the way down the field for a monstrous gain. Our qb (whose name I can't remember) ended up throwing a game winning td right at the end of the game.

All Clemson fans were jumping up and down and screaming at the top of our lungs One poor kid fell over the row behind us and spilled his beer everywhere. We emptied out into the streets headed for the car and everyone was partying for new years. It was a grand celebration and a great Tiger memory.

I was there. That night seemed we were back on the road to glory..

Thing is, all glory is fleeting.

My six year old son was shaking his head and softly saying something over and over. Wife finally asked him to speak up - He said “We be doomed, we be doomed “ because of all the Kentucky blue around. Had to reassure him that the Orange faithful would show up on game day because upstate SC is just a few hours away. His 1st Bowl game.

This year he’s taking his young family to JAX for the Gator Bowl. Fortunately there’s been many bowl games and a National Championship in between. Bowl games can be a lot of fun.

I think it was Patrick Sapp to Terry Smith.

And don't forget that Kentucky had just intercepted so looked like all was lost. Then they fumbled trying to return the interception and we recovered. I have always felt sorry for the player who intercepted and then fumbled instead of just downing it.

Marty Moore for Kentucky . Got hit by a Clemson lineman . I think Moore was Mr Irrelevant in nfl draft after that as the last pick

Big Stacy Seegars caused the fumble***

Marty Moore intercepted the pass. Stacey Seegars forced the fumble and Rodney Blunt fell on it (or vice versa). Dexter McCleon started at QB and Patrick Sapp came in, making the winning throw to Terry Smith right in front of me.

My grandparents took me to the game, we sat center behind the endzone. I had a tiger paw poster and stood in the aisle every kick to get on TV.

I think I remember that. Didn't he also have a Mike Williams type drag into the endzone against coots?
