Game result? After reading the Iceland post earlier, it got me thinking and I think I went like 4 hours once in the early 2000s while travelling in Europe and my slingbox didn't work then my boss called a meeting in a room with no cell service.
It was agony! We won though

I've always been able to catch the game in person, on tv, or the radio.

On my honeymoon in 2004. We were in Nevada, went to the Grand Canyon that morning and sight seeing afterwords. Got back to the Lodge and we were playing Maryland that day. I saw a score roll across the bottom of the screen that said Maryland was ahead 3-0 in the 4th quarter. Then nothing lol! I tried to call Daddy, no service! UGH It seemed like forever, it was probably about an hour, and finally, they ran the score across the bottom.. we won late 7-3. My bride and I had our Orange on... and celebrated! Great day!

I've gone 55 years without knowing the result of the third game of the 1920 season.

Curiously, I looked at the whole 1920 schedule and we played Presbyterian on the day before this game. Tied Presbyterian 7-7 on Friday October 1 and then played Newberry on Saturday October 2.

A day later: this was when living in south Florida during the 1980 season - we wouldn't know results until Sunday's paper for a couple of the games.

phones. Clemson was at Virginia, 1986. On the way back to the Upstate, we listened intently for the score. Clemson beat Virginia, 31-17. It was probably a 4-5 hour delay.
We didn't have to wait for the outcome, but I went night-fishing with the friends down at Hunting Island. The campers beside us had a TV and we watched the 2nd Quarter of the 1992 Clemson-UVa game. Clemson was behind 28-7 at halftime. We left to go fishing. We came back to the campsite just in time to see Clemson win 29-28.
