But we were not, at least not after the first half.
I could be that Georgia is just really really good on defense but I feel like we should have been able to be more competitive there. I didn't understand at least two times when it seemed like our receivers stopped running on balls thrown their way. There we also several times when Cade underthrew downfield passes that could have been huge if thrown more accurately. Overall, a very tough team to work out our offensive kinks with.
What's interesting to me is that Dabo must think we are pretty good offensively to take the opening kick. Hopefully that will show out the rest of the season, because it is unlikely we will face a defense like that again until (if) we make the playoffs.
I think the second half on our defense was a combination of Beck making some amazing plays that kept drives alive and getting some momentum that was hard to stop. I feel like our defense is championship caliber. I just wish our offense was as well.
The second half was UGA OC Bobo making adjustments and Clemson DC Goodwin being spanked. UGA went perimeter and Clemson was chasing and missing tackles. That opened up the middle and bam... throws were to open guys.
Second Clemson Offense was same as the last year or so.
