Top 4 projection tomorrow

My opinion:
1. Clemson 2. Alabama 3. Ohio State 4. Oklahoma State
The next two: 5. ND 6. Stanford
Clemson is the clear #1 after the FSU win. I think if LSU would have beaten Bama, the case could be made of LSU and Clemson flipping spots but that argument is now invalid. I think Clemson will coast as the # 1 team until the final playoff rankings are set. A lot of people might now agree with Alabama's ranking at # 2 but I think Alabama is playing just as good as anybody else in the country. The lost to Ole Miss looks bad right now but I think if that game was played later, the results might have been different. Ohio State is still undefeated but haven't played anybody and they haven't looked all that great in those games. The game JT Barrett started, Ohio State looked like a completely different team compared to Jones starting. I think JT gives Ohio State the best chance to go undefeated. They are the defending champs and I've heard the case by some saying that they should be on top. I disagree but I would still keep them in the top 4. Oklahoma State made a pretty good statement against TCU. It was a game that you expected a shootout and a basketball score but the Pokes held Boykin in check and made him throw 4 INTs. Kinda of a weird game considering TCU had over 600 yards of offense, only 29 points, and still lost by 20. I think OK State has a shot to beat Baylor and OU, but I'm not completely sure that will happen. The Big 12 usually gets crazy during this time of the year. For the next two, I kept ND at #5. I still don't completely agree with ND being at number 5, but their resume is not too bad and their one lost is not bad considering they lost to the now number one team. I have Stanford at 6 because I think they could be the best one lost team outside of Alabama. That lost to NW at the beginning of the season, I believe was a fluke because Stanford has been dominating the rest of their schedule. The closest a team came to beating them since that NW game was Southern Cal is that margin was 10 points. I think the Stanford/ND game at the end of the year could end up being one of the best games of the season.

I would say out of those three that ND might be the most tested. ND has several injuries in key positions but they have maintained playing at a high level. Like I mentioned earlier, they still have Stanford to play but they have a very good shot at making the playoffs in my opinion with a win in that game.

Notre Dame out for Oklahoma State. The committee will probably want to see them earn it against Baylor next week

If Bama beats Mississippi State next week there will be SEC homers wanting them to jump us to #1, even with the Ole Pi$$ loss.

You know....with how the committee has shown their hand in the first rankings, I expect there will be some swapping before the end of the season. What hurts Clemson in my opinion is that their last three games of the regular season are against awful teams and that is including my Gamecocks while some of the other teams will be playing their toughest games. However, if by some chance they do put a team ahead of Clemson, I would be shocked if Clemson moves down any further than #2. I just don't know if putting Alabama at #1 would be a good thing. Right now, if they do win out the regular season....LSU might be the only team they have beaten that would still be ranked.

What do you suppose they will do with LSU?

The #2 team got beat by the #4 team. Do you think they will fall as far as they did in the AP? I don't. I see them sitting at 5 or 6 easily.

Honestly, I would put them somewhere between 8-10. I thought LSU could have won that game but they were just completely dominated. I still think they are a good team but not as good as they were first advertised. They still can win the rest of their games but I don't see them being back in the playoff picture unless there are a ton, and I mean ton, of upsets with teams in front of them.
I would say my darkhorses to watch out for would be:
Utah - They have Arizona, UCLA, and CU left. They should be Arizona and the UCLA game will determine the winner of that division. If they win out, then they will looking at Stanford, a team that could be in the top 5 or 10 in the PAC 12 Championship. I think a few upsets would have to happen also for them to make it but its possible.
Oklahoma - I can hear the laughter now. However, they still have Baylor, TCU, and OK State to play. All three of those teams should be ranked by the time the OU plays them and could boost them into consideration. Like Utah, I think a few upsets would have to happen and OU would have to win at least two of them games in convincing manner.
Iowa - Hasn't played anybody but could be undefeated going into the Big 10 CG. Crazy things have happened before.

How did the committee get past to Ohio State losing to VA Tech last year? I don't think it would happen. OU would have to win out and several teams in front of them would have to lose.

You'd be foolish to think for a second that the committee won't keep LSU in the top 5...

What teams do ya'll think will drop out of the rankings and who should appear for the first time?
Teams that will drop out: Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and maybe Memphis or FSU
Teams that should appear: UNC, Navy, or maybe Southern Cal?
