Good for BV! As long as college athletics still requires the athletes to be students, grades should matter - a lot, actually.

That is the issue..... NIL and portal are taking the 'student' part away.

Other articles support what he is saying. Maybe not this one.

That was what I was thinking. I thought the article was very positive and a great reason to retain him f he can keep the Sooners at least competitive.

Yea, what you think. One more season? Maybe 2.
DC’ing and HC’ing are vastly different in responsibilities , but I do understand most wanting to get a shot at it.
Not understanding the mass exodus in Okie after the season. 25-30 players? Says a little about the culture there imo. Not sure what is going on besides the fact that they have had bad QB play. Will say overall the defense is better than it was when he took over, but an improvement on that side of the ball would not have been to difficult. Swiss cheese under LR.

I can tell you that when I went to school I earned all my C’s. School at any level is simply not as difficult as it was in the 60’s to the 80’s. And the fan in the stands simply does not care about how many football players even get a sociology degree.

Not sure when they changed the scale but when I went 94-100 was an A, 87-93 was a B, etc.

An outlier who should have never left. Most everyone wants their shot at being the boss. Especially when the downside is a buyout worth millions of dollars. Basically, there is no downside as he would be scooped up quickly as a DC with a ~ $50M portfolio for his trouble.

Yeah, he's crying all the way to numerous banks. He's now a "made" man. No need to feel sorry for him.

Nobody is feeling sorry for him and certainly he isn't. I can guarantee you that none of the money part affects anything Brent does.
