He's the QB coach and passing game coordinator. DJ regressed badly in year 2 and the passing game was basically non-existent.
What did he do to deserve this promotion?

Absolutely nothing I’ll support Clemson no matter what. But if we witness a train wreck next season with a stale offense or drop off on defense. I surely hope Dabo quick to fix his mistakes

A lot of them are the same people who said CDS was a dumb hire. Almost all of us don't know enough about things from the actual platform that we heave criticism upon to merit any opinion at all...yet you get the types who don't know they don't know and have no filter .

He played CFB QB (at Clemson). He's been our QB coach since Tajh.
He's a great person and understands the Clemson brand/mentality under Dabo Swinney. He's also an incredible recruiter.
What did he do? Seriously?

I dont understand how you promote the guy who was responsible for coaching DJ who finished rated dead last in all quarterbacks in the nation with at least 250 attempts. 120 out of 126 over all.

If you disagree with the original poster and you can defend Streeter substantively, then please do so. I’ll get you started - say something like “but we’ve won two national’s championships and put two QBs in the NFL since Streeter has been the QBs coach.” Some may respond to that saying that Watson and Lawrence were plug & play QBs with enough natural talent to make it in the league. Then you might have to get specific about what Streeter did to develop those two guys… and why he couldn’t seem to do that for DJU in 2021.

I get the frustration but let's not forget the year DW took over for Stoudt. Stoudt looked terrible that year. DW goes down, Morris leaves for SMU, Streeter takes over as being QB coach and stoudt looked like a Heisman contender in the bowl game. His offense at Richmond were record breaking. Just give him a chance. Dabo has earned the right for us to believe and trust him.

Maybe he hasn't put in the work, maybe he's hurt, maybe he is seeing defenders everywhere cause the inconsistent play of the line. None of us have the answer to that.

but I've questioned his QB coaching for years. Yes our QBs have been outstanding...but that because of who we got....blue chip players. I could beat Dale Earnhardt Jr in a race if you give me a Ferrari and him a '79 Pinto. Deshaun did get better from him s freshman year to his sophomore...but that was mostly due to him being injured most his freshman year. Trevor's best year was his freshman. He drop a bit in 2019...going into the season as a Heisman favorite and ending the year no longer in the conversation. Bryant was also good in 2017 and dropped off in 2018. DJ played well last year and...need I say more? If it wasn't for his recruiting, I'd say fire him. But promote him?

How do you figure freshman year was the best for Lawrence? That season was his lowest completion percentage, yards per attempt, and lowest QB rating of his 3 years at Clemson.

I remember Streeter’s first game as quarterbacks coach. Cole Stoudt became a single game BALLER against OU. Stoudt threw for something like 4 touchdowns that game. Then he went on to coach DW KB and TL. Not too shabby. I will also remind y’all when Streeter was the QB for Clemson he was a straight up gamecock killer. Just saying..
