We must be "pretty good" if Vegas is already giving them 9.5pts at home... In May. Lol

I have no issue with anything he said really. Not like he is going to say "I think Clemson is gonna beat the hell outta us," and he wasn't really disrespectful with his comments. I'm sure everyone looks forward to playing the best... if you pull it off you look darn good.
Having said that, they get curb stomped in September.

No real big issue with his statement

I don't expect him to say we will have the second coming of the 86 Bears, he knows who and what we have, and didn't really try to "bern" us. AND as far as him saying he thinks they can do ok, I surely wouldn't expect him to say otherwise, and frankly those first games are always a big unknown. While I think we win this game, if Malzhan gets the offensive production he's used to, with the Defense they have recruited, Steele could throw a scare or worse. I think he have the horses to win every game this season, but I am sure not sleeping on a team that has had an entire off season to prepare.

+1 to the "curb stomped" comment. That is what will happen, and there really is nothing short of fixing the officiating (which isn't out of the realm of possibility, but even that won't help) that can change it.

Yep. My guess is, at least he did get a nice car and a nice house for Mama out of it. BTW, AU is the most sanctioned program in the country by the NCAA. That didn't just happen of its own accord.

I don't care about his feeling not even a little bit, he made his choice, and I want to watch us kick him to sleep during that game, and teach him what friends close to the family can get him into. That was just an excuse he made up IMO, bc it was his and only his choice to where he went. IMO, he made a very bad choice, and I hope that Auburn never does anything his entire career there, and not just when we play them, Seriously!!! When he says how much he loved Clemson is total BS. And if it is the truth, his GF or wife better watch him bc we see what he does to what he claims love for!!!

I'm sure he did love Clemson, but that love got sold out for "goodies". It's an secheat thing, and sadly, it has served them very well.

Nothing to see here. Picking quotes out of a larger context doesn't make for bulletin board material.

Yea, it's pretty bad journalism on TigerNet's part. Both the "pretty good team" quote and suggesting Adams was talking smack by saying "I think we can do what we got to do" make me roll my eyes. What's he supposed to say "we've got no chance, don't even bother showing up"?
I'm usually happy with the articles on this website, but this one smacks of "we've got nothing to talk about, let's try to rile people up over nothing"

I didn't read it as him trying to upset us. It's just a piece about a little history in our recruiting battles...one of the many talking points along with Steele and others.
Some of you seem to try and find stuff to get upset over on a daily basis.

And that really is all that needs to be said. I wonder if he will have an "out of body experience" when we take them to the wood shed?

Mont Adams would absolutely start for us.
Arguably the biggest improvement we've seen since the transition from Tommy Bowden to Dabo Swinney is player development. Clemson recruited well under Bowden (not on the same level we're on now), but far too often we saw these players tread water developmentally while at Clemson. That has not been the case under Dabo, especially on defense. No one showcased that development better than Kevin Dodd. Venables has said several times that when Dodd got to Clemson, he was an absolute mess from a technical standpoint. He was very gifted physically, but had very little technical skill. Through hard work and going through our program, he was able to become a borderline first round pick.
Montravius Adams had both the physical gifts and technical ability coming into school and if he had come into Clemson's program, I have no doubt he would have thrived...in fact, I think he probably would have declared for the NFL draft this past year because he would have been an All-American. Of course I may be looking at that through orange-colored glasses, but right now I have all the confidence in the world when it comes to Clemson's d-line development.

He is looking at this game and wondering how much better off he would be had he gone to Clemson. He is wondering how on earth he could have made the huge mistake of choosing Auburn when he could have been a big part of what we have instead of suffering through one disappointment after another at Auburn.. He is wondering what it would be like to actually be earning a degree from a great university which he will leave Auburn without, would be my guess.

They can "do what they gotta do", but it won't even come close to addressing their glaring weaknesses versus a loaded team like Clemson. Alabama was extremely lucky to steal a win in the NC game against Clemson. Auburn? Not so much. I do wish Adams well, but just not against us. Clemson makes a statement against these Tiger wannabees.

If Adams has chosen CLEMSON, then he would be playing on Sundays this year instead of playing for Kevin Steele.
Also, AU beating a good Memphis team when the HC had already moved on to VT, I would not put any stock into that. If that's all they've got, then they are TIGER MEAT!
