transfers but these bowl games are not a true representation of the teams that played the season. In a few years non playoff bowl games are going to be basically a scrimmage. Coots and Notre Dame are missing a ton of players. I would rather lose just Murphy and Simpson than what Tennessee has lost.

We really only lost Myles Murphy and DJ.

And UT only lost Hyatt (the other two were injuries and their starting LB wasn’t eligible because he quit going to class in early November.

That being said that Hyatt loss really hurts UT much more than any of our “losses.”

They have one WR that still worries me especially if we bring our Wake Forest and South Carolina defenses. His name is Squirrel White (that’s his name).

Go tigers!

Meck, had to laugh, as I thought his name was Squire...

Trenton Simpson is a bigger loss than Myles, IMO.***

The opt-outs are another modern invention, and

although partly understandable, largely represent to me a cop-out on your team, the staff, fans and particularly the institution that gave them the opportunity in the first place.

Yet, I defer to my younger Friends here on TNet and within our Clemson family, for I do realize the entire landscape is changing, evolving, if you will, into something I never imagined. You younger folks will have the burden of reinventing the system into that which appeals to those alive for a long time after my age group is gone.

Where does all this opting-out stop?

If a bowl game is meaningless, what about all the regular season games after your team is eliminated from CFP consideration?

Why would you risk injury playing those meaningless regular season games?

decided not to to play for ut. We will probably hear that Mary Ann Smith, of Chattanooga, could not make it to Miami for the game. Meanwhile NOTHING will be said about any injured Clemson players.
