Since player development is key to this strategy, we absolutely had to bring in two of the best developers in Rumph and Luke. (DE's and OL)

I believe our DT's are in good hands with Eason.

Seems our DB's (except a couple odd cases) are being developed well too.

Hard to tell with TE's. No obvious problems that I can think of.

But we really need to see more development with WR's, QB's and LB's.

I think we'll be AMAZED at how those WR's & QB look

I think if it is going to be sustained, Dabo should probably dump the idea of developing coaching staff from within. From the waterboy on up to his OC and DC everyone should be maximized to arguably be the best in the industry at player development. The pull has to be the staff in the long run.

In terms of wanting to get to the NFL, I am even starting to wonder why a player would want to be involved with such a lackluster business as the NFL.

I agree completely here. No more grooming coaches now. We have a razor-thin

It's been real thin for awhile now. Our recruiting has improved because of coaching staff has improved PERIOD. End of story. Every Coach should be on the block every year for a performance-based review. Either perform or you're done at Clemson.

He had some NFL experience worked elsewhere briefly. Had a couple years w Caldwell. So why did it not work and become apparent fairly quickly tht it wasnt working? It makes me wonder what went wrong. Any thoughts?

Schools do not buy players. Schools are funded by federal and tax payer money and that money is regulated. You really meant to say athletic boosters that fund collectives or directly hire athletes support players I am sure.

All we know is that we didn't spend any NIL money on portal players, that doesn't mean we aren't spending it on high school recruits.
