He is playing politics. He is doing what everyone hates and that is saying things just to be re-elected. What bill has he ever sponsored that is of any value? Tim Scott is a light weight and his ONLY claim to fame is him being the only black republican senator.

that has spent his whole adult life in politics. Biden has spent well over 40 years in Government doing nothing but running up our national debt to grow the size and power of the Federal Government in order to regulate everything in our lives from light bulbs to puddles of water in our back yard. During his 40 years "serving the public" Biden has gotten very rich - sucking up donor dollars, tax dollars, and selling his "name" to enrich not just himself but his whole family. Biden has built a career out of lying and he lies just as much as the orange orangutan he is going to square off against come November.
Yet somehow - the circus monkeys want to portray the orange man as the only fraud when Biden and the rest of his elitist political class have spent their whole lives building and feeding a whole political ecosystem whose very sustenance relies on fraudulent behavior.
When are you folks going to ever learn - THEY ARE ALL FRAUDS!! We didn't get to $31 trillion in debt from people who are honest, public servants who genuinely sacrifice to serve....
So - it's no longer about voting "for" someone. It is simply voting for whom you most closely align on actual "policy" and not the poo the partisan circus monkeys in the political ecosystem are flinging. To vote based on anything other than stated policy or, in the case of the two reprobates that will be vying for President come November, their actual policy actions in office - is to vote on the noise and not the actual signal...

We have to end this Trumpist attitude (and I'm not calling you a Trumpist but you're regurgitating this BS):
Opposing Trump does not = supporting Biden. Period. Stop calling people who point out what a horrible person and president Trump was Biden voters/supporters.

my nose and voting for Trump. I don't like the man, have expressed many reasons why but in our unfortunate 2 party system, if I want my vote to count it is either "for" someone or "against" someone. In this case - "against" the radical left for which Biden is a puppet.
Many on this board act as if Trump is some uniquely bad political unicorn that doesn't already exist in our politics. I find the "how dare you consider voting for Trump because he is a fraud/narcissist/criminal/etc..." crowd to be incredibly naive if not outright annoying.
They arrogantly profess "Trump is a danger to democracy" while attributing some misguided high moral ground to a political class that has built an entire two party political ecosystem to prop-up their total control of government and will choke any attempts to subvert that control. This is the very same political class that have gotten rich off "public service" and is spending us into insolvency in order to continually grow the power and scope of the Federal Government that seeks to control and regulate our lives into oblivion.
That's why I say it comes down to policy and to ignore the agitated political theater poo flinging from the political ecosystem circus monkeys. I hate where our political system is and wish we had a viable alternative to either Trump or Biden - but we don't. So hold your nose and choose who you think supports your policy positions on immigration, trade, foreign policy, Government regulation, etc.. more than the other guy.

If so, why vote either way? You know SC will go to Trump, so why not just refrain from that particular race (and vote the others) or vote a third party candidate to make a statement? If you live in a swing state, I understand your position.
Many on this board act as if Trump is some uniquely bad political unicorn that doesn't already exist in our politics. I find the "how dare you consider voting for Trump because he is a fraud/narcissist/criminal/etc..." crowd to be incredibly naive if not outright annoying.
It's not that; we know full well he's just like all the other crooks. The problem on this board--and it's a microcosm of his base--is that there are some who think Trump is the opposite of all of that. They actually think he's an honest, good Christian man who hasn't engaged in a single act of selfishness. THAT's what we push back against. NDJEV, RememberTheDanny, Rangers, Keowee, Miura, etc. They all try to push the narrative that Trump is infallible. That's where the problem lies.
The difference is that Trump has already expressed his desire to clean house and install his yes men for the next term. And he will have millions who will cheer this on. That's how democracies die.
But you still didn't answer my question: How do you know the guy responding to you is a Biden voter?

to respond to the only realistic alternative to Trump at this point. Like it or not it is going to be a Biden vs Trump choice.
I don't know if holtzhater will cast a vote for Biden in a Trump vs Biden choice or not - maybe he'll come up and let us know. But holtzhater's particular voting preference is also largely irrelevant to the bigger point I was making regarding this incessant droning that infers Trump is the only fraud when, in fact, the political elite have institutionalized the DC swamp fraud.
The biggest difference with Trump is his "shtick". It's not the polished, smooth weasel language lying of the system approved candidates who kiss baby's while stealing their candy. The political ecosystem perfected the art of obfuscation and lying with a smile so when Trump's rough as a cob shtick confronted their "gentlemanly" system it was bound to upset the apple cart.
The be sure the Trump drones lap up his "walking, talking middle finger to the political class" shtick because they think it is "real" but it's all a show. In 2016, Trump could get away with claiming to be something different kind of candidate but ultimately, as we saw in his Presidency, his actual governance was mostly the same DC stuff. Sure - the media circus and the rhetoric around him was different but Trump was mostly another "go along to get along" guy who appointed politically connected insiders, often acquiesced to the DC "expert class", and signed off on bloated budgets as long as some of the ridiculous bloat was pointed in a direction he liked. If Trump is somehow elected again - expect the same ridiculous rhetoric and the political ecosystem to lose their mind but actual governance won't be much different than what it was before.
PS.. No, I don't live in SC. I live in NC and the election will be too close to just "protest vote" while one party boat races another as in SC. I'll hold my nose and pull the Republican lever because I find them slightly better than the Democratic Party.

I get your points and you're not wrong for the most part, although I disagree slightly in some areas:
But holtzhater's particular voting preference is also largely irrelevant to the bigger point I was making regarding this incessant droning that infers Trump is the only fraud when, in fact, the political elite have institutionalized the DC swamp fraud.
You're 100 percent right that he's far from being a new fraud, but don't most folks here acknowledge that? Again, we're mainly battling people who still think Trump was a good president and a genuine person, and will give him a free pass on literally everything.
If Trump is somehow elected again - expect the same ridiculous rhetoric and the political ecosystem to lose their mind but actual governance won't be much different than what it was before.
I disagree this time. Before, he did what he thought he was supposed to do. He's more unhinged than before, he thinks he was unfairly wronged, and he wants revenge. He'll look to rig a system that ensures he can't be voted out again. In other words, assault on democracy.
I wholeheartedly agree that Biden must go, but another Trump admin isn't the answer.

If he wins, and makes it though the 4 years of the inevitable avalanche of investigations that will be unleashed on him, he will leave.
2 terms is set in stone. He knows it, we know it. He knows he doesn't have the horses to make it happen if he wants otherwise, and he knows he'll end up looking like a world class chump if he does try, which is his biggest fear of all.
This is where I think it's possible to let someone get in your head a little too much. If our system is in a fragile enough state to be broken by the likes of Trump, we are doomed anyway. We just aren't there, IMO.

How about objectively look at the two administrations, what they did and didn't do. If the choice is the lesser of two evils, the answer is Trump.
Anything negative you say about Trump is 10x true for Biden. Biden is a liar. He is corrupt to the core. He's lost it mentally. He can't even remember what his platform was, so he can't follow it. He is bought by the CCP (and maybe others).
Well maybe along the lines of retribution/retaliation Trump is on par or worse than JB. But, I don't blame him one bit. I would like him to take any and all legal actions possible against HRC and the Biden Crime family.

Very excited to see him endorse President Trump tonight and he would be a great VP pick
On another note, it's embarrassing to see how far Nikki Haley has fallen. Taking money from democrat billionaires that are the same people funding the lawsuits against trump and also trying to keep him off the ballot . It's sickening to see and I'm ready to see her lose our state by 20-30 points because that is what will happen....only way she has a future politically will be running for the Democrats
