I think this qb battle needs to go.......

into the fall. Here's why. Stoudt has the experience and the temperment to manage the game. He is NOT nearly the qb we need to get to a higher level......D. Watson is CLEARLY that person. This staff has to feel very confident that Watson can go into Athens and Tallahassee and win. If not, it will have to be Stoudt. I've never thought that Kelly would be in the mix regardless of what has been said about him. I don't like his game, his attitude or his SWAG. He just reminds me of "me" guy. I think he can be a cancer. I hope that I'm wrong. IF, they RS Watson, I guess we'll find out more about him. One thing to remember: there is always the possibility that Stoudt could have a Cullen Harper year. A year out of a guy that nobody saw coming. Let's face it, Watson is the man to lead us into the next era of CU football. Those that have seen him regularly will tell you that. I think this goes into the fall as well it should and watson and stoudt will battle it out. Don't get that RS ready too soon, IMHO.

Watson has never played a game in college. Stoudt is proven.

I think Stoudt can take us just as far as Tajh did.

Tajh had the ability to single-handedly win a few games.

But he also played a pretty large part in losing a few. I do not think Stoudt can go out and win games for us, but I think our defense will allow him to manage the games and still win 10 games.
Seems to be a guy who will make great decisions. But he hasn't proven anything, honestly. He has only played a few snaps with any kind of pressure at all. We elected to never take Boyd out of games.

You are 100% correct.I can readily think of several games that I would love to have seen a QB change but alas Dabo couldn't bear the thought of hurting Tajh's feeling by trying another QB.

Agree - Watson, skinny and fragile - needs RS to tough -up

hurt in his last HS game too. I hope Kelly matures and becomes the swagcat change of pace qb that could really help our fortunes. Remember Morris wants to run like Auburn and Swag is our best hope at that type of qb, even though I want Stoudt to start and play most of game.

if you saw any of his games you know that he ran the ball many times/game. Took every hard lick the opposition could give him and kept going. Yes, he needs weight but fragile should not be used to describe him. Tough competitor.

Lot of difference in being hit by a high school boy and a 22 year-old man at LB or DB. Watson needs a year in weight room or we could lose him totally to injury. The kid from Grayson didn't look too bad as an emergency back-up. Aside, I do hope for his sake, Kelly gets his head right.

level of football. It is hard enough as a soph or jr. I don't see either Stoudt or Kelly being what we need now. I hope one or both can grow into it. Kelly, if he will stifle it, in my opinion, has the best chance.
