Deshaun Watson is different than most freshmen
Clemson 2014 quarterback commit Deshaun Watson was injured during last Friday's game, and many feared the worst. However, he is already up and walking around, and his head coach says that Watson is different than most players his age. What is the latest on the injury? Does his coach think he will ready for the start of Clemson's spring practice?

but I think it's pretty unlikely he comes in and starts right away. Stoudt and Kelly would have to absolutely bomb in Spring to decide to bring Watson in to start right away. It's not like we don't have depth. Sure, Watson may eventually be the better of all of them, but why would you have recruited Kelly so hard and have played Stoudt so much if you didn't think they had a chance to start for you at least one season? And give Watson some growing time so he can be even more confident and capable.

I think even if Watson is the 3rd QB you play him when you can as a freshman. We could lose Stoudt or Kelly or both by the 3rd or 4th game... the 3rd QB has to have some game experience.... If we have a better 3rd QB then he should redshirt, I do not think we do. .... I do not expect him to be at Clemson 5 years in any case... why redshirt?

...he may not have all the raw talent Kelly and Watson have, but he's steady, experienced, and confident. His situation reminds me of Chris Morocco from the '89 team. With the talent around him, Stoudt can lead the Tigers to a great season.

I completely agree. Stoudt has this calm collective coolness about him when hes in the game and his throwing motion just looks so smooth and effortless. I think he will be the man come August.

Great accuracy, work on ball security, feeling pressure, willness to standup, stay, and step in to the pocket to deliver accurate passes under heavy pressure. He will be great with his size and height.

Has to see the game video, not all int's are because of the qbs. To much room for error when there a team concept. This is not golf.

year he threw 3 VERY catchable balls that were not caught so he ran for a first down on 4th and 10....
