He tries so hard to not be biased in our favor that he comes across as biased against us. I generally like the guy, but hate listening to his constant criticism of us coupled with praise for our opponents. Play calling, technique, effort, coaching…if I need to hear us get ripped for those things constantly during the game, I can just log onto TigerNet.

Yoo many people see things through orange colored glasses. Herbstreit has been plenty complimentary of Clemson over the years. He doesn't bash Clemson.
Some people get mad if announcers don't 100% praise Clemson, and say they Vlemdon is the best team in the nation and will win the national championship every year.

not smart. He just talks too much, he never shuts up. I don’t need to know a players shoe size. Every second of the game does not have to be filled with talk.
When he’s calling a game sometimes I find myself looking forward to a station break. Then lo and behold there he is doing a commercial.
