Of these “student athletes” will step on to college campuses straight out of high school making more money than folks that run these universities, the student studying and working to earn his phD, the people that will earn a undergraduate degree that might not make that much money in a lifetime, the professor that has worked their for 40 years but that whats college sports have come to I guess. Pay for play. This is really only a fraction of the athletes that play sports making life changing money but they seem to control the whole narrative.

Yep. Not not ago I thought it would have been awesome to have my tuition paid for.
It’s making it harder for me to follow any sports other than Clemson and 2 or 3 other schools that I tend to keep up with.

Ultimately, its because we have a "values" problem as a society.

We worship sports and celebrities more than we do doctors, teachers, and scientific discovery.
Can you imagine if as a society we invested more into research that would better us than we did sports and entertainment?

im a free market guy and the market is saying that's what the kids are worth to the program. I think its stupid and would never give my money like that, but not hating on these kids.

All good things usually will end, and I do believe that collegiate sports won't last that much longer with the money that's being handed out to college age kids, and bet what you have that the last straw will be the drug crime that will follow that NIL mega bucks right into classrooms and the dorms, and that is when the universities will put an end to collegiate sports on university grounds!!!

It really has put a damper on my interest level for college sports. Along with all the political garbage that has ruined it too.

I have lost a lot of my passion for the sport of college football. A passion that was unlike that of any other when it came to the different sports. It's a downer, but I have my limits. The Networks, Conferences, University Presidents and all the other power players in the sport think the fanbase to be blindly loyal and idiots.

Seems to me that many on this site seem to be on the side of FSU...what we have at Clemson is unique and for the most part good for those who join as student athletes...some think we should become ho`s like FSU, Tenn & others...I would hate to see Clemson become like them! The Clemson I attended had values and principles...winning at any cost was not one of those that Dabo embraces...must be a lot of feathery dirt peckers...and volunteering to take your money pundits along with some renegade horse eaters...go back home...Dizzy Dean said "dance with who brung you"...good words to live by!

College professors and administrators are a 10c/doz. 5* athletes are $2mil/ea.
I ain't saying it's right. Even worse is guys like Cosby or Sceinfeld. Millions of bucks and neither of them can block or tackle and probably never in their lives thrown a football more than 10 yds.
