What this season gave to Tiger Fans everywhere

High hopes! That is what we all started with. That is not something that every one of us Tiger fans was able to hold on to as tightly as some others. Bravo to those who did! Bravo to those, like me, who couldn't but never "quit" on the team even though our expectations were set for the worse.

The team played like absolute CHAMPIONS at times... and like absolute horse dung at other times. Still, I find myself scratching my head over some of the things this team [did not] do that it is obviously capable of doing. But as the season was winding down, and the final face palm was thought concluded when our beloved Tigers lost to South Carolina, Miami provided a path to the ACCCG.

Cautiously, I awaited the game. The Tigers Roared out to a FANTASTIC start. Then, the ugly alter-ego showed up. I watched in horror as SMU tied the game. I sat in shock, still, even as Clemson had a fantastic kick-off return. Then, still in shock, I watched the Tigers catch a pass that commentators claimed placed the Tigers in "field goal" range. I laughed and scoffed at that notion. I believed that it would have been better for the fans if the Tigers would have just lost in regulation... and not carry this thing out any longer. I know I was not alone in my pain.

But beyond all of that, what the TIGERS gave its fans in conclusion of the ACCCG is what can only be called "The KICK". What a thing of beauty - unthinkable as even a possibility with the year already behind us. But I watched in amazement as we were given "The KICK". It brought home an ACC Trophy. It landed Clemson a spot in the CFB Playoff. And despite what happens next, NO ONE can dispute the MAJESTY of The KICK that will follow Clemson for the rest of time. And no matter how bleak things may look in the games ahead, We can ALL look back and remember The KICK. The Greatest KICK of all Clemson Time! The GREATES KICK in all of CFB History!

Thank you for "The KICK"! Thank you for giving Clemson fans everywhere something more to crow about!
