Let's ban the blitz.

Feb 14, 2014, 11:07 AM

Player safety first.

Blitzes create an unfair advantage for the defense and a player unchallenged to the QB is dangerous.

Anyone else agree?

Lets get rid of tackling entirely

I mean, I know we are on our way there anyways. Below the chest but above the thighs I believe is the only area allowed now.

We should ban the forward pass.

WRs going over the middle is very dangerous.

Also, it creates an unfair advantage for the offense.

Offenses shouldnt be allowed to have a pre set play

Not fair that they know where they are going but the defense has to guess.

I think it is closer to banning pre-snap Def. movement...

Feb 14, 2014, 12:02 PM

Linemen standing up, moving around, LB's running up to the line of scrimmage... The movement of Auburn's front 7 is the main reason the National Championship was even close. Brent and Kirk where saying that FSU had not seen this kind of defense and they were partially correct. Auburn disguised their defense extremely well confusing both the OL and Winston. If it had not been for this "gimmick" by their defense Auburn would have lost by 2 or 3 TD's. From a personnel standpoint FSU was head and shoulders better. For the record I am not for removing the pre-snap movement or the hurry up just think Saban is hypocritical as he will use any advantage he can on Def. yet whine about the Offense doing the same.
