advantage. I know, I know..but to be a sportsman you must say that it would have been different IF Tigers had played before 92K at Sanford Stadium.
Coots found that out big time..and next year Cole Stoudt will notice the difficulty too I'm afraid.
What say you?!

UGA Clemson and USC games could go either way and home field for either could be the difference
Very close teams in terms of talent, coaching, and hoe field environment
10 games go 50-50 in either of the 3
Good thing is Clemson only has to win one of them!

series ...
Especially when EVERY game was played in Columbia for a half century.
Williams Brice hasn't been much of an obstacle to Clemson wins in the ensuing 50 years and DV hasn't been too much of a problem for SCAR recently.
The best team is going to win this November regardless of where the game is played.

I can't really explain our success at death valley the last few years. Defintely breaks down the hypothesis a little. At WB, though, the atmosphere has tremendously improved over the last five or six years plus most years yall just had a much better team. So I am not sure the numbers at WB are really relevant to the discussion.

When you see Shaw at 18-4 undefeated at home with all 4 losses on the road
Clemson undefeated at home last year until the USC game
USC having something ridiculous like 18-2 over the last few years at home UGA not being beaten at home in a few years minus the USC win 2 years ago, I would say home field does matter when the teams are comparable on the field

Home field is a BIG factor for both Clemson and SCAR ... except when they play each other. Check the all-time record.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think our overall road record is around .500
Heck our record at Wallace Wade is .500

**Was that the difference for LSU at the end of last year??

Are you seriously thinking through it that much? If our team beat a #8 ranked team at the end of last year, then starts the next beating a #5 team, you chalk it off to the crowd and home field advantage??....
Before I say this, I am a 2001 Clemson grad (in Textiles to be specific), and I can take a pic of my ring to prove it...but if that logic worked, would we be saying we are 4 in the hole to the coots still? Didn't we have home field advantage and a packed loud crowd then too?
IMO, it's the mindset of the players, especially after that win in the bowl. They are believing in themselves more than ever...and THAT can go along way.

I think that is definitely the key to winning big road games in hostile enviroments.

we will find out in November at Willy Brice. It will be loud, and if we lose that one, then your hypothesis is pretty accurate.

And Dabo and the players wouldn't stress how important it was, if it wasn't.

I think the home team would have the advantage in any matchup of those three teams. I think on a nuetral field all three are toss ups. I might actually give clemson a little edge on the nuetral field based purely on having more experienced starters at linebacker. UGA abused our inexperience at LB. Glad we play yall last so they will have 11 games under their belts. I do think the crowd at WB will play a part in november.
