Upon further review of ACC meetings....

...here is my speculation.
Note: This speculation is based on reading a few reviews and listening to several vlogs. Most are from people who probably don't have any more information than I do. They are either just listening to other people and making their own speculation (just like me) or they are people like David Hood and Ira Schoeffel (the FSU cousin to David). I'll post his vlog in a separate thread.
So, here is what I think is happening:
Everyone in Amelia Island is playing nice, at least in public, while there. They are being very professional, saying things like, "We love this conference. We want to make it better. We don't want to leave. We're committed. We're just looking for creative ways to generate more money for our school."
Behind close doors, those 7/8 schools are saying, "Here's what it will take for us not to cause majoe waves (dissolve the conference/sue the conference over GOR/etc.)"
When they leave Ameilia Island, those 7/8 schools will start to play hardball in the public again. "We tried to offer suggestions to ACC but they wanted no part of it. We have no choice but to ___________ ."
So, if Neff comes out with some pansy-wansy statement I will take it as political and part of the process the 7/8 schools have decided (upon legal advice) to take.
Remember, this is just my speculation. If I were you I'd put far more stock in what David Hood is saying than what I am writing.

It would be som much better if the rug was being pulled out from under Swoff during his tenure. As this craters if it does it will appear to be on his successor and it isn't

I’ve thought about how vocal Clemson and FSU were leading up to these meetings as being unhappy and aggressively looking for ways out of the ACC. Mondays meeting was described as chaotic. Then suddenly we hear (literally overnight) that adding $10M will magically make these same very vocal ADs suddenly thrilled to stay in the ACC. Something else is going on there. I’d guess they’re buying time with real plans to somehow/eventually join one of the 2 top conferences.
Side note: I’m also not buying that certain conferences not having men’s soccer or rowing will keep us from leaving the ACC. heck, they’d probably drop those sports before willingly get left behind. This is all, at the very core, about money generated for/from football.

Brett, Clemson , FSU, Miami , NC, NC ST would fit in with SEC , while Louisville, UVA , & VT fit well geographically with the Big 10. There’s our 8 teams
