Is 2026 season make or break for Dabo???

One has to think to fix the problems sweeping changes have to occur. New OC probably have to keep DC Tom Allen but fire some position coaches on the defensive side of ball and let Allen bring his guys in. And perhaps the most important piece of fixing it is Portal,Portal,Portal! 2-4 portal guys won’t cut it. If Clemson looks to be back to competing for a ACC championship and a playoff spot 15-20 portal guys is likely what it take to turn it around. At QB CV very well maybe the starter and a great one at that. However a Portal QB to compete with him would only make that position better. Is 2026 a make or break season for Dabo? Or could Dabo survive another season like this one?

It has to be the whole offensive side of the ball, Riley, Spiller, Grisham, Richardson, Luke, Boyd, and even his two sons. And there needs to be a major over haul on the defensive side too. Reed, Conn, McDaniel, Boulware all should be be on the chopping block.
It will be painful but it is necessary.

Has coached on the field before coming to Clemson (not including Riley).Luke is considered one of the best even if it’s not good right now. Everyone else including Riley needs to be gone. Pull a Vandy and go hire a whole offensive staff to transform what we do

If the team goes somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-6 this year and in 2026 then I can see the fan base and donor class getting quite loud.

Is too late to continue to play musical coordinators. No reputable coordinator in their right mind would come to Clemson at this point and risk ruining their career. The only thing that’s going to turn this program around is for Dabo to become a serious football coach again, stop with buddy hires and putting friend’s sons on the team. Get rid of all the unqualified assistants, and start bringing in talented players from the portal. Hit the recruiting trail with renewed enthusiasm and start bringing the studs We were getting a decade ago.
