You are correct - back then I had this recorded on my VCR back then and it had the ability to move forward one frame at a time so I went back and at 24 frames / second, he had possession for 30 frames.

There's video of Jim Nantz I believe and Mike Francesca back then saying the shot counts because you judge the time based on the buzzer.

Actually that team would have moved on and kept playing in the tournament.
A win over Duke would have given us our only Final 4 appearance.
No one cares (and most people don’t even know) if you have to “vacate” wins decades after they happen.

Too far to run in and watch the last 3 seconds on TV - so stayed in the parking lot.
The bar EXPLODED as the radio signal went out again . . . . was the absolute worst.
Was in the stands for puntrooskie.
Both completely sick . . . .

I was in the Keys (maybe Islamorada) on Spring Break at the house we rented getting hammered and listening to this on the radio with a houseful of others. Yes, the radio. I think it was just CBS showing games back then so limited live coverage. So much drunk joy followed by total despair.

They couldn't stop Watson and the offense in that game. And the pass to an open RB (Fuller or Gallman?) down the sideline that just missed.
And the touchdown to Tee Higgins that was called back in the title game with LSU that was followed by their 2nd quarter surge.
Just missing the completion for a TD in regulation vs Auburn 2010 that may have derailed their national championship run that season.
Just missing a TD in regulation when Whitehurst overthrew a wide open Chansi Stuckey in the corner of the end zone vs Miami 2005 followed by the triple overtime loss.

All good ones - there was also a TD drop by Artavis Scott (?) maybe in that first Bama natty. Back corner of end zone. Bama defender interfered but wasn’t called.
Add the Aaron Kelly drop that would’ve solidified an ACC berth, the one and only under Bowden. That one also really hurt at the time. In hindsight maybe it was for the best.

Well it should have made that pass very difficult. That would have been a tough play to execute even if Clemson had 3 players on the floor. Was not meant to be for the Tigers. Fear of the foul on Tyson’s part I’m guessing and do understand that side of it as well. Tip your cap is about all you can do.

I remember watching this game on TV. My cousin lived in Tampa, and we would talk all the time about Clemson games. We had talked earlier in the game and couldn't believe we may win.
I had picked up the phone, dialed his number except for the last digit, waiting until the final horn. I remember just slowly putting the phone back down and almost being sick!

I was in the hospital admitting office because my 2 year old was seriously ill. Then this beat breaking luckiest shot I have seen. Just added more heart break to my day.
My son recovered with no side effects. Praise God for his healing powers.

I agree the puntrooskie was a tough pill to swallow, but this Tate George loss was in the postseason and cost us a shot at the Elite 8. The puntrooskie technically didn't win FSU the game and was during the regular season.

Yes, I was a freshman at Clemson on spring break in Daytona Beach in a bar full of UConn fans!! It was a dagger! And they let us have it! I still hate them lol

If I remember correctly, if we won the game we would win the division and we’d go to the acc championship game
We were up in the 4th quarter until Matt Ryan rolled right and then launched a 60 yard bomb across his body to a wide open receiver for a go ahead TD
We had a chance to tie I think and the field goal fell a few yards short
I remember thinking we’d never win another acc championship 😂

2010 baseball. All we had to do was beat the coots once and we couldn't do it. Of course we would have had to face Gerrit cole and trevor Bauer in the finals, but if the coots bear them then we probably could too.
