Hard to see calling Cade a bust with him only playing for one season. Every true freshman QB isn't going to be a TL16 or a DW4. They are very few and mostly far between!!!

I'd give Chase Bryce the nod for "Boom" despite his limited play for the Tigers. We all know he did the clutchest of clutch things to preserve the season.

I'm not really down on Klubnik. I actually think he has a ton of potential and needs more help (which should be coming). I don't think CV is pushing him though.

I predict Klubnik will be very good (maybe great) in Year-2 of Riley's system.

Klubnik made lots of mistakes which is typical for a 1st year starter. But, I think he has probably replayed each of those mistakes 100 times on film and is plenty smart enough to learn from them. Klubnik did not have a good OL or WR corps last season. He often didn't have enough time to throw, nor an open-receiver to throw to. I think Luke will have the OL playing better, and the WR corps will be better with the influx of new talent and veterans coming back from injuries. And I think the OL & Mafah will keep the D's honest with a solid running game.
When Klubnik had time in the pocket (like the 4th quarter of the UK game, when UK rushed 3-4 and played coverage) Klubnik picked them apart, drive after drive. That's what he can do if he has time to throw. That's what I'm predicting this season. This is still the same guy who destroyed UNC in the ACCCG after not having taken reps with the ones. He's that good. But he needs help.
... Also, it's perfectly reasonable to expect that Klubnik (along with the rest of the offense) will be better in Year-2 of Riley's system.

Cade doesn't have to be a QB that sets the CFB world on fire. But, he has to not turn the ball over and "make the easy plays routinely"!
That's it.

If the defense is top 10-15 like we have seen again; Clemson wins most games on it's schedule.
Certainly enough to win the ACC; I believe.
And, I disagree about Brice: I think he was a Boom. Look what he did at APP. What he did here was simply give us an opportunity to remain eligible to win a National Championship!
